View the latest post Timeline to Campaign 2

1, 2

We promised you all a quick turn around and we're on track to do so. We can now give you the time table for the start of campaign two.

The draft will be held just before the main battle day on Saturday 4th February. Sign ups for the draft will close Thursday the 2nd, 48 hours before the actual draft. Make sure you've signed up and have poked all your friends to do the same. Following the draft, and some hasty organisation, the armies will meet each other in their first scrim.

The following weekend, Saturday the 11th February will be another scrim, with both armies having had a week to organise themselves and prepare. Expect a good time with early indications on how the BFI may go.

The BFI will be held on Saturday the 11th of February kicking the campaign off with a bang. Expect to hear plenty more between now and then so keep your ears pined to the ground and eyes to the monitor.

tl;dr:
Draft - Sat 4th Feb.
Scrim - Sat 11th Feb.
BFI - Sat 11th Feb.

View the latest post Campaign 1 has ended

The first BF3 campaign has officially ended on Saturday, Jan. 21st. with the WIRAFOECD or the so called 'Acronym army' winning the campaign over the Red Cossacks. This campaign was a lot about getting to know the game, its physics and maps and learn new tactics and skills. Many new people joined and new friendships were made.
In the name of the community I would like to thank both generals and their officers for an interesting and fun campaign that might have been dominated by the Acronym army but also the Red Cossacks had their moments of glory.
To ensure the campaign was running as smoothly as it was, a lot of effort had to be put into admining the forums and servers and they did a fantastic job, thank you Tournament Admins!
Most importantly a big thanks to all the soldiers on the field, without whom the campaign wouldn't be possible to be as fun, dramatic and competitive as it was and I hope to see you all in C2!

A new campaign (C2) will start soon, signups are already up: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16990
We can expect more balanced armies and even bigger emphasis on strategy with the new theme that will spice everything even more.

In the meantime check out the GC Olympics thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16976
GC Olympics are hosted between campaigns on our BF3 servers and can be individual or team based and offer a lot of fun. So gather a team and signup!
