Re: Arma 2: DayZ mod
Yes. You need Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. Some people have said that Arma 2 Free can work in place of Arma 2, but no guarantees. I'd buy the Combined Operations just to be safe.

Re: Recommended Software/Hardware for recording gameplay.
Thanks for the tremendous amount of help guys! So from what I've learned so far.. it doesn't seem like I'll need a top of the line HDD to fulfill my needs. i'll be taking a pretty good look at the HDD you linked, fittyman. Thanks! I'm also quite interested in Twixtor. But it's incredibly expensive....

Not 2TB, it's 1.5TB, but it fits your price range quite well.

Cloud functionality plus EA can track when you're playing online and offline through Origin..Sup wrote:Why do we need Origin to run during the game anyway? Is Origin saving game progress and statistics or does battlelog do it?

Can we get a reliable fix for the stuck on loading black screen? Alt + Tab works... sort of, not really.
I swear if I did not enjoy this game so much, sometimes, I would have quit playing it. Err, probably not

Re: Wirrew's GUI 2.0 concept
wow lol that sucks, why u don't buy a computer instead of a laptop. I mean for 1100 you can get a gtx580 and a Intel i7. Or you can get a gtx570 instead of 580 and then you have alot of money for a good monitor. While true, I go south a lot of the time. Not practical to bring a whole Desktop with m...

Re: Wirrew's GUI 2.0 concept
Well, the card I toasted when I flashed the Vbios wrong. Instead of flashing it to "4870M" I flashed it to a "4870" by mistake. I paid dearly for it. About 250 dollars for the replacement card. I get the card back, and my power brick dies so I start using a franken wire for power...

Re: Wirrew's GUI 2.0 concept
I have had a few. My favorite was by far the Alienware. Easily upgradeable and very big screen. 1920x1200 resolution over a 17 inch screen. Very heavy, but I could play BF3 on high no problem. Then I.... fried everything.

Re: Wirrew's GUI 2.0 concept
The resolution Can Be easily adjusted im sure. Come on people 21st century get 16:9 it will be the new thing. Don't be so snide. Some people are either playing on Laptops or don't have the current budget to dish out ~$100 on a 16:9 when their 4:3 is working perfectly fine for them. Laptops have bee...
