Re: Pew Pew laser
Reflective coating = Hello Radar Bloom! So that's not going to be done. Smoke? A land vehicle or surface vessel, that might work, though it's obviously limited. Aircraft?...not going to work for obvious reasons. This is a prototype, as has been mentioned. Part of the development process is creating ...

Re: Pew Pew laser
Bear in mind, this is not envisioned as a replacement for RAMs, CIWS, Phalanx, Goalkeeper, etc. This is a supplementary defense weapon capable of engaging land/sea/air targets without the costs associated with munitions-based countermeasures. Those will still be on-board and capable of intercepting ...

If we can get multiple PoVs from Death Valley Round 1, that might make a good video. A tight 20-ticket round with lots of surges back and forth for both sides should make for a good video.

Re: to all GC usa and canada memebers
The most egregious miss-use of one of the most important diatribes in cinema history, at a time where it's as relevant as ever to people living in the U.S. As for the NHL, the Sens managed to flip Bishop for Conacher, who is instantly the leading points-scorer on the team (yay injuries!). Timing is ...

Re: No gun glitch survey
We were running "STARcon" on the NA server for atleast the first half of the battleday, I'd be surprised if they stopped considering we know we didn't get any gun glitches in the first half.

Re: So I have all this data...
in AK the gun glitch was present, but not nearly as bad as it's been during the scrims/BFI for this campaign. We also straight up never had it in C2 or C3.

Well they're not really copying COD when it comes to dual optics, they're both just running off the latest HSLD fad as the civilian world finds out about it. It would be the same as if they had implemented flip-up BUISs or allowed you to use CQB sights available for most optics. Some like my trusty ...

Indeed we were, and Blackice/Flummi are both sickeningly sweet pacifists.Darkrider312 wrote:Wait, wait, wait. Tactical Virus and Dan1mall were on STAR, not Gladius during the last campaign. Typo?

Pre-empted the TAs, ABC was being worked on/setup yesterday afternoon, proper announcement and fanfare will come from the TAs today. At somepoint. But don't hold me to it. I'm not a TA.

Re: THIS is how reactive really work.
Well, take Arena for instances. Its kill radius is a 300* arc around the turret, out to 7 meters. If it engages something like an RPG-29, the explosion is 7m away from the tank, as opposed to right next to the tank. You have a casualty radius of roughly 5m/16ft from that much explosives. If the expl...

Re: THIS is how reactive really work.
PDSs on armour assets are a relatively new thing, the first deployment of such a system being done by the Israelis in the late 2000s. Atleast if you discount the Drozd system of the late 70s, which even the Russian army thought was too unreliable and caused too much collateral damage. The Russians h...

Re: THIS is how reactive really work.
That's like calling CIWS or Goalkeeper "Reactive Naval Armour". It's a hard kill point defense system. Reactive Armour in BF works exactly the same way it does in real life. The chemical composition in the blocks is ignited by the shockwave from whatever is striking it. It explodes away fr...

Everyone (minus the TAs ofcourse) was stripped of rank, I didn't think we could kick anyone...unless it's considering the guest group as "equal rank".
Still, Duke's been on TS for hours now, so if it's something that's just happened I would think he'd have been the person to go to....

Re: General Nominations!
There will be a thread in the C5 development forum where TA's and Execs are discussing the General candidates. Those Candidates come from that "C5, what do you want to do?" form, and from the TAs/Execs own experiences through the campaign(s). You'll probably have a week or so longer to wai...
