Re: Calling all PHP Programmers

Heh... <div class='common-playername-personaname solo'>? Suppose that'll work, as long as the website doesn't go down. (EA!<fistshake/>)

Re: Calling all PHP Programmers

From my own searches, I think using TS for the attendance-tracking is probably the best available option, and if you consider the bandwidth of sending player names vs sending voice data, it's maybe 0.01% of the load in a given battleday that would go to attendance keeping. I haven't found a way to c...

Re: Laptop - Oversensitive/Crazy Key

Figured I'd add closure to my question. Yeah, visual inspection didn't uncover anything. The Fix I used: in Ubuntu (Linux), you can run the command 'xev' which will show you keycode information for each key pressed, then you use the line: xmodmap -e 'keycode number = NoSymbol' Totally disabling the ...

Laptop - Oversensitive/Crazy Key

I'm running Ubuntu on my HP Pavilion ze2000, and it's got this F11 key that loves to just activate like mad. It seems to be related to flex, since grabbing the opposite diagonal corners of the main body and flexing it one way will stop it if it's happening, and flexing the other way can start it whe...

Re: rubberband issues

I have to run MSI Afterburner just to play BF3 for more than 30 seconds - have to turn my shader clock down to avoid crash to desktop. So if you're having trouble while MSI AB is running, it's probably the settings you're using and not the program.

Re: Metro is soul crushing

I like the 2 NA servers idea. I quit NA #2 as Metro was voted in and joined NA #1 to find 2 guys with 'xX{NAMEHERE}Xx' who immediately told me "no killing" - they were there for points. It does seem the new NA2 server performs better than the NA1. Good thinking by Brummie(?) to test a new ...

Metro is soul crushing

In my humble opinion, Metro Conquest with over about 40 people is a pointless exercise in mass death. The underground side has basically 0% chance of getting upstairs, and the same for upstairs getting down. With fewer people, this isn't nearly so difficult, and the map can be quite fun. With over a...
