Played some Civ5, went to sleep. Woke up, Haruky is still in game.

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
I've only seem ex-KI guys complaining about the air, so maybe this was more of a balance issue than a spotting issue. I don't want to speak for the whole Hitcorp infantry here, and I strongly encourage any of my former teammates to speak up, but as I said before I can't even remember being killed m...

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
I still don't see any reason to have it off, even with the things brought up in this thread. Dude, have you read anything in this thread? EDIT/Disclaimer: Sorry if I sound angry/rude, it's way too early for me to be posting. Well if you take Matsif's quote literally, it means he's read the argument...

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
I don't think BF3 sounds are any less important than TS3 sounds. Yes, TS3 is the backbone of our communications but information also comes to you through BF3. A lot of audio cues are present on the environment that are important to playing well, and sometimes you may hear enemies before you see them...

Re: Campaign 3 - 3D spotting (poll)
I think I'm going to abstain from this one. Can't make my mind up one way or another. However, I will still submit my thoughts, even though I was unable to be swayed by them to one side or another. 3D Spotting: Voice chat is cluttered at the best of times (some have mentioned this before, and it is ...

Well, self-evidently. It's a light-hearted reference to popular culture, and (from my point of view, at least) wasn't meant to be actually taken seriously.styphon wrote:It's a lot more than just a spreadsheet game, and just posting that shows your ignorance of it.

I wholeheartedly agree with Chef here. Part of what makes GC fun is PTFOing with awesome people you haven't played with before.

In anticipation of Armored Kill
I found this link a while back - it is a fairly detailed write-up on how to adjust artillery fire on a position, when aided by units with a line-of-sight on target.

Re: Inspiration for the new guy
On the C3 stuff, your guess is as good as mine. Regarding the C2 end, I think we should publish it. It'll keep things rolling and remind people that it's not down-time so much as a temporary pause between one campaign and another. EDIT: Hit up Rob for some information, looks like C3 is gonna be full...

Re: Inspiration for the new guy
A short(er) article about the cessation of hostilities, maybe adopt an optimistic tone for the future and the rebuilding process... those are my suggestions. If you come up with something different or had something else in mind, go for it.
