Greetings
Hi all,
I'm Pscythe and played BF3 solidly since release on Xbox and then PC. After spending a few weeks playing on PC after several months on the Xbox I burned out pretty hard and haven't touched it since. This community you guys have here with the organised team play has really resparked my interested and I'm looking forward to playing with you guys!
I was wondering if you guys have an IRC channel. I used the forum search function but mostly found mentions of it with no actual information.
Cheers,
Pscythe

Re: Greetings
hello and welcome to GC!
I do not believe we have an IRC channel, or if we do it has not been in active use for some time. There are plenty of people on the teamspeak server at:
66.150.121.103 pw: gcfun
go ahead on and introduce yourself to some of the guys, play a few rounds, and go to your ABC home and sign up for the campaign. you will get put on a team and can play in the rest of campaign 3!
looking forward to shooting with (or against) you in the future!

Re: Greetings
Welcome
If you are not assigned to a team before saturday, then just join us on teamspeak at SBT (standard battle time) and we'll put you in one of the teams.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't think I'll be able to make tomorrows games as I have social matters to attend to but I'll gladly join in next Saturday (it is every Saturday, right?).

By black ops are you referring to CoD: Block Ops?

No (the name can cause confusion though)Pscythe wrote:matsif wrote: every saturday from 1800 GMT (standard battle time or SBT) for 6 hours. we also have tuesday battles from SBT+2 until SBT+5 (European time Black ops battle) and SBT+8 until SBT+11 (North American time black ops battle)

Those are still played in Battlefield 3, but they are smaller maps (due to lower attendance) and they have no impact on the campaign map.
In the Black Ops, the attacking side of the week can try to aquire 'Black Ops items' on enemy territories, such as reconnaisance, eliminations or other Risk-style perks, that help them in the coming Saturday.
Re: Greetings
Oh, that's a nice touch! I'll probably be free Tuesday night so I'd be up for tagging along assuming I get placed in a team by then. Thanks for the pointersKoffeinFlummi wrote:Pscythe wrote:matsif wrote: Stuff
