First Post and Hello!

Post by InsanityRocks »

Howdy Everyone!

I'm excited to join GC; I know it's the middle of a campaign but, at the encouragement of TheYonderGod on OCN, I went ahead and signed up.

As I was reading about GC, I was thinking, "this is exactly how I play and want others to play!" I can't wait!

I started my BF3 experience on the PS3. However, now that I have a brand new Gaming Rig, I went "Premium" on the PC. And it's been quite fun unlearning my muscle memory: my brain "sees" BF3 but my hands "think" PS3 controller. :)

I've been getting better as I'm splitting time with Borderlands 1, Far Cry 3, and, of course, BF3 Campaign.

About Me: I'm a freelance computer programmer (I've been writing software professionally for 20y). I'm your typical Geek/Nerd/Whatever. I'm a father of 3 kids. I'm ex-US Army. And I wear shorts all year 'round.

Take wait to meet new friends.

Hello!

Actually campaign just ended last week.
Now we are all waiting for the new Generals to be Announced and then the player draft.
The next campaign should start in about a month, and dont be scary, it always looks like a mess at start of the campaign and gets better as the armies learn from their mistakes and evolves.

Unless he misunderstood what I told him, that's what he meant, in the middle between campaigns.

Thanks for the welcomes, well wishes, and words of encouragement.

I guess I did misunderstand the reference to 'middle of campaign' - no worries. I'm really looking forward to playing.

I should be all setup with TS, even with the "popular" Push-To-Talk (I perused the forums last night).

And I definitely try to have fun when playing.

Nope - honorable discharge - would 'prior military' have been a better description? I served from '85 to '89, doing my first 2 years in Germany; love the beer! ;-)

And long pants are greatly overrated.
