Joystick usage

Im trying to set up my cyborg force evo joystick with BF2 but i cant seem to get bf2 to detect the joystick. im installed the drivers etc for the joystick but no 'joy'.

when i try to alter the button alocations and click button 1 to 'fire' for example, bf2 doesnt realise im pressing the button.

any ideas?

how have others set up their joysticks for bf2? any tips etc? u usually just use my keyboard without a mouse.

Is your computer recognizing it? I used to have the problem that my comp wouldn't recognize my stick unless I unplugged and replugged it in after booting up.

that doesnt seem to be the problem here, the test program that comes with it is all working fine.

Try assigning a key from the keyboard to the spot and then assign again with the joystick button.

1) Is your stick recognized in the Game Controller tab in Xp control panel?
2) Is it recognized in Direct X Diagnostic application under "input devices" or "usb"?

If not, then BF won't see it either. Check both out and get back to us, bro.
