TeamSpeak and Procon Down
TeamSpeak and Procon are down. Looks like Ph1lors server rebooted. Can someone please restart them (can't they be put on some automated script so they automatically start?).
Re: TeamSpeak and Procon Down
They're up. They'd need to be started from a service to avoid multiple instances. Need something like FireDaemon. We need a backup server for when this server is no longer available.

Re: TeamSpeak and Procon Down
It is possible. Its a good size monthly expense renting a TS server for 200 connections and theres no maintenance. For the same money, it appears renting a box from NFO server would be cheaper and allow Procon layer. Last time I looked was when we had the Reddit influx.
Robawillis, you interested in pricing solutions? This needs to be addressed soon.

Re: TeamSpeak and Procon Down
you thinking dedicated server ash?
Done dedicated server before even with the battlefield series, from what I can tell if its ranked it would have to be completely locked down in terms of access, what do we need out of interest I know TS and the procon is hosted on phil's server what about the website?

Re: TeamSpeak and Procon Down
BF3 is only available as from GSPs. Website is standalone and probably better not somehow bundled.
TS3 is a priority, may be able to get away with 100 users, but influxes of new players will be need to be predicted somehow. I dont foresee us adjusting the max players month to month.
Procon layer is not critical, just means we will have alot fewer server admins without it. I have not looked at providers for Procon layer.
For the price of TS stand alone, it looks like the price could get a box to run a Windows server TS3 and Procon layer. Philor has looked at Amazon cloud solution (for on the fly flexibility), but the free account he created was a Unix solution (no one seems to be interested admining Unix).
Philor's TS3 could in reality disappear any day, tho I think he would give us a hard deadline first. We already went past a soft deadline.

Re: TeamSpeak and Procon Down
So why are we needing a server for TS?
