Euro Server Updates

Update: Back online: new ip: 85.14.200.110

Hi there,

the Datacenter where the Euroserver is hosted at is somehow reorganising it's infrastructure. The Euroserver will get a new IP in the process. Also I'd like to reinstall it when i find the time to do so. I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I know when it will be unavailable and of course tell you the new ip. Apart from the new ip nothing should change for you guys since all GC is running from inside a virtual machine (which remains as is).

erm nopes. can't start the virtual machines after a reboot. bloody hell. grrr. hope i'll get that sorted out soonish. sorry guys. afaik there is a backup teamspeak server in place?

The GC Kickass TS is giving a socket error 11004 ...is it possible having the normal TS running on Friday late afternoon?!? The BF server isn't that important atm.

Back once again: New IP is 85.14.200.110 TS and Bf2 should be listening.

Sorry for the short notice and delay. While reinstalled we've noticed that our hardware was somehow broken. Which lead to a server move. Which cost time. etc. pp. But it's back now

BF2 Server is running - Login with BF2CC and new IP working!

Ts is running by putting in new IP:port - DNS not working with "europe.global-conflict.org:port" yet

Do we happen to know who the name servers for the GC domain belongs to? Then we can update the CNAME entries to get europe.global-conflict.org pointing to the right spot again

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I figured it out... keep an eye on it!

should be an A Record entry somewhere hidden within the 1and1 website but I bet you found that already.

why is it mails from the board are sent with your gmail address? should be possible to make it some info@g-c.org adress and have mails sent via 1and1. should make mails from the board looks less like spam

Yea, it's an A record entry I updated it to the new IP address, but alas... not working yet. Could it be a firewall or router/port thing?

Oh, and I changed the admin email address to info@g-c.org I didn't do it before because I had no clue what to change it to... and then I forgot Also, Phil you should have access to the ACP now.. in case you want to take a look at anything in there or .. you know .. fix that damn cookie problem. Wink wink nudge nudge say no more?

I put IP in TS but it won't connect.....maybe I need port too, what's the port?

it's not working with neither IP or europe.global-conflict.org equal what port (16567 is normal)

bah. it is working. dns and ip. it's just everytime there is a reboot TS needs to be started again.
