Server feedback

Postby Ash2Dust » Sun Mar 25, 2012 6:45 pm

Server are never perfect. We can look at getting a 3rd again if we feel 1 server should be performing better for its location. Its expensive, but with each donation, things can be improved rather than status quo.

The EU server (London) renews the 25th today.
The NA server (New York) renews the 16th (?)

Different maps, different numbers of players, Dice patches, etc all factor in how it feels.
Still, we need feedback. How were the servers behaving for you this Saturday?

Personally, both servers felt about the same with the expected added lag of ping to the EU server. But it was not fully loaded at 64. Both servers are out of my comfort ping of 50.

Good experience for me. No problems on either server.

The New York server is definitely performing better for me than the Chicago one was.

I agree that the NY server is a definite improvement.
I didn't actually think once about the servers during the battleday, which probably means they're fine.

The NY was great this time and the EU server performed better than it usually does in my opinion. I think the reason your not getting any replies is because they were running really smoothly.

I was remembering a couple of weekends ago after the battle day there where 3 or 4 threads opened sabout the server lag.

I feel the same as calloutman. The NY server had a very slight amount of lag, but it was small enough that I barely noticed it (and it was far from the first thing on my mind during the battleday). All things considered, it was as good as I could have asked for.

The EU server of course was fine since I live in the EU.

NY was good for when I participated for my First battleday now that sounds weird but yes my first ever full on.
which occured to 2 weeks ago and I noticed a tiny chopp of lagg
then when i switched over to NY boom none!

its area dependent.

Mind if I ask what the server runs on: SPECS?
