All our ranks were standard except for the first two ranks (private and corporal). So speak for yourself Cheesy

These were the old HitCorp ranks.

1 - General - Field Commander, Manages/Oversees the Army
2 - Colonel - Field Commander, Devision Supervisor
3 - Captain - Field Commander, Devision Leader
4 - Lieutenant - Field Commander
5 - Staff Sergeant - Squad Leader (Experienced)
6 - Task Sergeant - Squad Leader
7 - Senior Contractor - Regular player
8 - Contractor - Granted after the first Battleday
9 - Recruit

The division leaders would appoint their Lieutenants (would have to have FCed at some point) as basically vice-division leaders so theirs always someone in charge.

The three squad leader ranks would be:
- Squad leaded at some point (Staff Sergeant)
- Squad leaded at atleast 3 times (Master Sergeant)
- Regular squad leader (be present almost all the time; Sergeant Major)

Regular players would be Corporal and maybe Specialist for Air Force (variety!).
And then basically HitCorps 7 & 8 (PFC and Private)

Or even more ranks?

You could also shift the HC up a bit too, maybe let the Colonels be Major Generals and the div leaders Colonels. That way you would have some more Captains/Lieutenants (SLs?) on the field.

How about different ranks for different divisions:

If I like contributing to the forums and helping out with tactics and such, but don't really like squad leading (except maybe secondary squad leader every now and then), should I sign-up as a sergeant or should I just remain a 'private' and keep on doing what I've done for the past campaign?

I'll also be moving in two months and starting university, so I don't know how much time I'll have on battle-days and whether I'll even have access to my PC in the weekends.

Sgt's really are primarily squad leaders. If you just want to help out with tactics then stick as a private in the main draft and help with tactics when they are posted in the forums.

Hi, I didn't read most of the chatter up before my, but I am wondering if there could be a play style somewhere along the lines of Supporting and reinforcing the areas of most need.... Because this play style actually give me more joy than taking enemies head on and only second to running spec ops behind enemy lines.

If someone signs up for an officer but isn't drafted, are they considered as already signed up for the regular draft? Or would they need to re-sign up?

This is a good question. If not chosen for an officer position (General and his newly established HC will select lower ranked officers) we will put you in the draft unless the new signup tool, which is still in development and will hopefully be in action before the draft, does not allow us to manually add you. In that case we will ask all those who have signed up for officer position but did not get the chance for C3 to sign up again for the regular draft.
