By the way, did anyone have problems with the gun glitch this past Battleday? Did we try turning off procon and see what happened?

We were running "STARcon" on the NA server for atleast the first half of the battleday, I'd be surprised if they stopped considering we know we didn't get any gun glitches in the first half.

So here's the behind the scenes on yesterday's battleday and the server issues:

1) In an attempt to see if our gun glitch thing was a server thing, we moved the EU server to the Netherlands.

2) Turned off Procon, two people join, MASSIVE RUBBER BANDING

3) Ok, switch to NA #1. Procon layer is off. First half of battleday is starcon (ie type server commands into the web UI), no gun glitches, no problems at all until the crash just before break.

4) Second half, we have moved the server back to London. People start joining aaaaaaand rubber banding everywhere. What the hell Europe?

5) We briefly considered using NA server #2 (based in Chicago), but EU players rightly pointed out that they'd just have worse lag, so we stayed on #1.

6) Just to see what would happen, we turned on procon and did the second half that way.

7) No gun glitches!

So, a perfectly non-conclusive test! Huzzah!

imo any testing should be made on Bandar since that is the map it happens most on for some reason.

Didn't hear of anyone having the glitch yesterday, and yes, Bandar Desert is where we normally gets it.
The funny thing about the EU server was that during the break I was in there with four TAs and another soldier from KART, six people and no rubberbanding at all. They switch to Tehran Highway, people start to join and the rubberband started and it got just worse the more people came in.

let's stay at NA server, I do get more kills with that higher ping mostly... dunno why, maybe its's just me playing FPS mostly with GC since years and got used to a higher ping with BF42...

for the gun glitch: EA/ dice is bussy with BF4, so I don't expect much help from there , it just seems like we can't do s... to get it solved.

maybe the reinstalling of procon fixed it? that would be cool ^.^

the attack on Spamhaus might have been the reason.

Procon was simply stopped for the first half and then started for the second half. Procon itself is updated with every BF3 server patch. Currently on Release 38.

Feels like an external force is causing the disturbance.

Kiasar Railroads yesterday on the NA server.
Me and my squad and I heard several other users had the gun glitch there. I waited for about five minutes, getting into vehicles and everything but nothing, died and got revived, still nothing.
Restarted the game and I got it back but the round was almost over.

Didn't have any problems on the new EU server.

Had it on both servers, 1-2 times on NA. Several times on EU. Luckily on both cases it came back fast. The thing is when i heard someone having gun glitching problems, whenever i spawn i had them.

I had it while playing on the 2nd round of sharqi and that was all. Only happened on 2 spawns. But dont remembet what server we were on.
