But, but - that interview is not in English ... funny enough that they use English terms to describe the any army on any map on any side subject, so I actually understood that part. The rest is totally giblish to me I :D

Looks like he just lost the Swedish words and reverted to English. Which he probably talk about games a lot more in then in Swedish.

Happens to me all the time then taking about code or science stuff in Swedish.

he says (for you less awesome ppl that dont speak swedish the language of BF) that they are not focusing on E3, that they want to make a great game and focus on just making a competitive and balanced game and if it goes to E3 is a plus but they are not focusing into it

so, does that mean that even sol doesn't speak the Swedish language ?

I like what he said about customizing the HUD and UI.

So he did say they are focusing on making it competitive, they just aren't going to be advertising or pleading for it to get on Esports - "if it gets there, it gets there and that's awesome.
I don't see why it wouldn't though.

Well, we have seen in the past that DICE devs don't actually know how to play their own game; Im not saying it's a bad game/franchise, but it can't work like that for competitive.
0 gun balance
0 class balance
0 map balance
0 comp. mode balance (or even existence)
= 0 idea of competitive gaming.
Let's hope this changes for BF4, I mean... the solution to this problem is quite easy.

You are right, but i am skeptical. I translated the captions as: "we want to make a game that 5 billion people will buy = pub fest...if you can take that and make it an esport, that's cool with us, otherwise we don't really care"..but in the meantime they invited competitive players to the BF4 lunch party...so, go figure! On the other hand, if you have a successful esport game, that will also boost your sales, but I don't see that happening.

I don't see how a game for pub can't be a highly comp game. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Take TF2 as an example. Massive pub scene (still) and a headline at the latest insomnia.
