should we ban battlepickups from GC ?

Post by o1oo1 »

I say we should ban them to balance the playingfield. I think the commander perks gained from flags is cause enough to cap them.
one shot kill weapons in the hands of very skilled players would be incredibly demoralizing for their opponents

maybe server settings allow to set custom respawn times of those things

We should see how things play out before undusting the ban hammer

longer respawn times reduce the impact on the game/round, since ammo is really pretty limited

Not really fair to say that to someone who isn't a supporting member tbh :)

Until we know how things will work out with settings and weapon sets, saying that something should not be used for GC at the current point in time is not logical. If you want to suggest it to be looked into that is perfectly fine. Also note the beta version is NOT the final released version. I am sure there will be many fixes and tweaks between what we are playing now and what will be released. So again, if you would like to suggest something for further review or study that is fine.

C'mom, guys! Of course everyone's input is more than welcomed here!

On the topic, I agree with Spreez, we really don't how the finished game will turn out, and even then I think we will have to wait until C1 starts to begin making decisions regarding gameplay. Hopefully, they will still fine tune the game for the release. :)

With how limited the beta is, it's still too early to really make any calls about what will be balanced and what won't in the full game. I think this is one where we still need to wait it out until release and see how things function then.

yep

also in BF2 when we played the POE mod there were pickups which were wildly OP and we played with them for some precedent.

The ones that donate have established their dedication, whether its volunteer work or money. GC cannot exist without either.

People who don't contribute still have a voice despite the class warfare against them. We still want to kill you or fight alongside you every Saturday.

not all GC members live by the soviet way.

another option: not all GC members are cheap, hence they gave some $ to Gc.
3rd option: not all GC members found the secret donate button/link.
like horn said give a fecking 1 dolla then take part.

like some players enlist to play and have fun, some are SL's and officers, others are risk officers...
and TA's etc...so no. everyman does what he can/want.
