Dice dev said yesterday a server patch that will require client patch will be released today.
Two days ago sliced_lime said he doesn't know (which can be that he can't say) when the next patch is going to be released.
And few days ago alan kartz aka zhinto the asshole said they don't have an ETA on the next patch.
....

Alan Kertz is not zh1nt0, Alan Kertz is Demize99 and was the best person involved with Battlefield, always had good and proper info, but he got moved to another department some time ago and a big part of the community couldn't understand why.

zh1nt0 is Daniel Matros and he says pretty much anything he thinks could make the community happy for a minute or so but the proper info is usually not there at all, he is the Producer of Battlefield now, used to be community manager.

Anyway, I read that stuff too about a server patch and a client side patch, we got the server patch but then in the last minute they stopped the client patch since "it wasn't ready enough" and they didn't want to release a 90% done patch.
Honestly, I think they were miles away and 90% done is about what we get every time.
I'm amazed how they screw things up every time they release a patch, fix one thing, break two other things...

Im not sure, could it be that some stuff were ninja-patched?
- heli's crashing after taking damage now register the kill?
- amphibian vehicle turn over in water now spits you out and burn (under water) instead of turning into a submarine.
- only 3 mines can be placed even with the anti-tank perk. Placing more simply removes the others.

I could say the same, just today I started to get this weird bug where I can't choose anything else than specific perks for each class, so for example, no defensive or offensive perk for assault, I can only choose between medic or grenadier. Same for the rest.

Maybe they patched the CTE and broke the original client.
