GC BF4 Tournament #1...?

Hi guys.

I vowed to not do this for a while due to the headaches caused by organizing a tournament at times but I got the feeling we might need some revitalization in the community.

So, I want to ask you all.. How many of you would be potentially interested in a BF4 tournament like we've done in the past with BF3?

I know the net code is still awful and all, but would this still be something that this community would be interested in? Due to the unknown amount of time it would take for another campaign to start, the tournament could last longer which means we could have something more in-depth and potentially more exciting.

I'd like to hear what you guys think. If there is enough interest, it is something I'd like to help organize.

GC is an awesome place and it's sad to see what has happened after BF4's release. I want to see these servers full of life again!

It depends on the mode.
For me, Squad DM is really fun with organized squads

Im always up for events like this one, but taking apart all the issues we had with BF 4, which modes can we play?

As for the moment we don't have Squad Rush, and Defuse (which would be the perfect 5v5 mode) is broken.
What else do you have in mind?

I for one think Domination can't be less competitive. Random respawns makes it a little bit too based on luck IMO.

I agree, but I don't see an alternative tbh. Btw, when you learn the spawns it starts making more sense in a tactical way.

We seem to have a decent amount of people interested, but it definitely isn't enough interest to get a full length tourney with brackets going.

I'll leave the poll up for a few more days before making a decision. I'd like to hit at the least 40 people sign up with interest but we'll see.

-Fix for an issue in the Defuse game mode, where a bomb carrier would be permanently spotted

Shall we give this mode a chance and see if it works as intented?
It would be really cool to have a tournament with it, even when probably the maps are not fully balanced.
