it's only been 7 months since "release," and now they start to put out a way for someone to call out their BS decisions, so long as you have premium and get to sign up.

EA: "hey guys we really listened to you over the past 7 months, so now we've created a place for you to voice your issues with the game! just buy premium and apply to join, and maybe we'll accept you!"

I've seen "pay for early access and help us build our game!" before quite a lot, but never with a AAA budget already released title.

My guess is they're only doing this because someone realized that Battlefront will be crap if they don't sort out what's wrong with Frostbite.

Did indeed, as for now there is nothing different between these servers and the normal ones but tonight they are apparently upping the tick rate for testing. Got in as well.
It does seem almost too little too late for some of the people who have been shouting for them to "fix the game." If it means a better game for all though I'm willing to help out. Especially if they actually go through with this increase in tick rate. Honestly, I think that's the single biggest reason for the "netcode" problems everyone has.

This update is per client specific and updates an area around each player. Initially we will test running this update at 30hz for everyone. NOTE: This might cause problems for you (stalling, rubberbanding etc) if your internet connection can’t keep up – let us know in the forums
