In the chaos of yesterday's Scrim...

Post by InsanityRocks »

I think we may have a lost a brand new GC member: Numberten47.

Unfortunately I was away dealing with RL issues, so this is all hearsay, but I wanted to share: It looks like we had a brand new forum sign-up join us on TS and was put into a squad. In and of itself, this is not a bad thing. However, we lost an opportunity to guide him in our ways because I think several times he took assets that didn't belong to his squad. Honest mistake if you think we play Pub-Style; which we don't.

I tried to reach out to him via PM. Only time will tell if he returns.

So, as a word of caution: the next time we see a name we've never seen before, let's spend a little bit of time with them so they get the best experience we can offer.

Was he kicked from game or he left because he didn't liked the way we play?

I do not know the answer to that question. I do know, though, he wasn't present for the end-of-day debrief.

He played with us in Air all the way up to the end of the battleday. He didn't have a mic though so I couldn't tell you much about whether he left cause he was dissatisfied or because it was the end of the battleday and didn't feel like staying for the debrief.

It is possible he may have been dissatisfied, the last round we only had the SH and spent most of the round on the ground more or less by himself, since we had 3 people in the SH already, and he seemed to be doing it of his own choice rather than sit in the useless seat in the SH. As I said his lack of a mic made it hard to gauge if he was dissatisfied with being on the ground. If he was and had said something I would have gladly let him take my spot and ran around on the ground myself.

It appears he befriend many of us in Battlelog. I'm not able to because he's reached Max Friends.

If you're friends with him in Battlelog, please try to reach out to him, if you happen to think about it.

Thanks!

Talked with him, he figured the day was over and left. He'll be playing next day.

I feel like the dividing point for not having a mic would be ending up behind anyone who does in a queue, if there that were applicable.

Obviously, if you don't have a mic you should feel bad and you should get one.

I played my first battleday without a mic and it was terrible not being able to easily communicate and I didn't even finish the battleday. But I just bought a mic the next week and had an awesome time so maybe Numberten47 does the same

I never considered playing WITHOUT one. So much easier than trying to type in Squad/Team Chat...
