New information on the 1.2 Update:

Hi all,

We are currently working on the next Battlefield 2 update. We believe this update has some significant improvements that everyone will appreciate. We’ve seen the discussions on the forum and will do our best to address as many issues as possible, as soon as possible.

Here is a quick run down of just some of the issues we have been working on.

- Helicopter now carry 8 missiles rather than 14
- TV-Guided missile now have a shorter range
- Hit points on all air vehicles has been reduced
- AA missile lock has been improved
- Support kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy
- Sniper kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy
- Anti-Tank kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy
- "Dolphin Diving" is no longer possible
- Players can no longer jump and shoot at the same time
- "Prone Spamming" is now fixed
- "Sprint exploit" is now fixed
- The Sa80 weapon has been improved
- The G3A3 weapon has been improved
- Reload while sprinting has been enabled
- Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials
- Damage decreased for the M134
- Medic defibrillator paddles have been adjusted. They now reload while not in use.

We'll be announcing further additions to this list, but that will have to wait until the next update. This is NOT the complete list of items we are working on. As we have more items go through testing and we are sure of a change we will update you.

We'll yet have to see how their fixes turn out but it reads good. No jumping and shooting at same time... I'll have to learn this game again from scratch damnit!

Better be a fix for the m203/gp-30 as well, can't stand them :x

it sorta is cause now ya cant jump and shoot the 203/30/25/2000 GL anymore. sure they can still shoot it at you while standing, but I find that seems a little more difficult than shooting from an elevated position (like from the top of a building). its not a total fix, but it helps. i like it. I also like that the sa80/l85a1 and the g3a3 are getting fixed, since i have both those weapons and they're for my most played kits =P

Wow. That will change the competition scene4 ALOT for BF2, also. It looks like bunny-hopping isnt going to die, but itll certainly help slow it down some since you have to be on the ground to fire.

I really wish they would make the aiming realistic. Doing a random cone of deviation means two people shooting at each other, one will randomly win. I'd like to see them switch back to using skill in aiming and the shots shooting reasonably true like in real life. Fixing the AA, I'll believe it when I see it.

well the grenade launcher is random...some times it doesnt go where u aim :) but i'm not sure this is the case for bullets.

i dont know if you will be able to throw c4 while jumping though...if u can, if now 70% of ppl playing in clan matches use frisbee throwing...then after the patch it will be 90%

Its good to hear that support,anti tank and AA will be fixed! 8)

get ready for some big changes!
