Introduction
Welcome to the GC Wiki.
Everyone probably saw Wikipedia already. Now we have our own Wikipedia. Please login (top right corner) with your username and password from the GC forums. Tick the "remember me" checkbox and the wiki will do. The Wiki can't work with usernames that have funny characters in it, for instance a underscore ( _ ). If you have such a name please send ph1l0r a pm on the forums to work something out.
For everything except pages pertaining to the current campaign, feel free to add, edit pages, you have to be logged in to do so. If you need help or assistance let me know.
The easiest way to add a new page is to search for the not yet existing page. The Wiki will offer your to create/edit the page. The Wiki Syntax is easy to learn and allow for fast and easy maintenance of texts.
There is a cheat sheet which should help you editing a lot: Download here
Be sure to use headings, use bold and italics rarely and you are bound to write a page thats nice to look at and easy to navigate.
Use the All pages link in the navigation to see all pages that are there already.
Enjoy!
Welcome to GC
Welcome to the Home of Global-Conflict.org. My name is BRUMMIE and I’m going to try and introduce you to what we are about.
First off I’ll tell you what were not – we are not a clan, so don’t expect us to act like one. The many clan members we have will attest to that. Second off – we are not really a gaming community in the general sense of those words – so again don’t expect us to act like one. We aren’t a TWL or CAL spin off ladder either so lets get that out of the way.
What we are is a 5 year old community of like-minded gamers that choose to play together in an organized manner but outside of the formality of for-profit sites or ego-centric sites ruled by one guy. The minute someone tries to take GC commercial or to run it like a dictatorship we will roll up and collectively die – so lets get that out of the way as well.
Stupid as it sounds we don’t have leaders. We do have a group of guys that have been around for while that keep an eye on things and try to direct the community in a direction that reflects the energy of the active members. We give them fluffy titles like ‘Senators’ but don’t let that worry you as for the most part they just have some admin abilities so they can keep the fools at bay.
I encourage you to read through our forums. I encourage you to take part in our tournaments. Stick around for a while, or come back and visit as much as you like. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much we will welcome you here. There’s no requirements needed to join us. You’ll either pick up on what we are about, or you won’t.
Either way – Welcome to GC.

GC Campaign 13 - The Main players
The ALLIANCE
High Command
- This group is comprised entirely of officers and is considered the “brass” or upper ranks. In keeping with military tradition they hand out orders to the Officers Commanding (OC's) who then relay the message to the troops under their command. They may also sometimes issue orders directly and their orders always supersede those given by the OC's. (Orders refer to in game instructions given over Teamspeak). Members are appointed to the position of General by the executive senate at the beginning of the campaign and the generals then appoint members to their HC.
Khyber Rifles (Infantry)
- In August 1947, upon partition, the Khyber Rifles and the other Frontier Corps regiments were transferred to Pakistan. In addition to its traditional policing duties in the tribal areas of the Khyber region, the Khyber Rifles provided detachments to serve in Kashmir and East Pakistan. The force is currently involved in tracking down Afghan fugitives and terrorists.
Zarrar Company SSG(Special Service Group)
- Is an independent commando division of the Pakistan Army. It is an elite special operations force similar to the United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and the British Army's SAS. This is the goffer squad. You will always be on a tight tether to the HC. In another time and place you would probably be called the Revolutionary Guard. You’ll have fun but the discipline will be tight. Your jobs will be multi-faceted - you will defend our assets and at the same time wipe theirs out. Yes you will be in two places at once. You will be assigned the sneaky stuff as required. Lone wolves please don't apply. Don't expect high scores as most of the time you will be lying down in the mud or up to your neck in the water.
39th Mechanized Group Unit "D" (Mechanized)
- The 39th Group Army traces its origins to the formation of the 15th Army in the Fall or 1935. In mid-June 1949, during the Civil War, the 39th along with two other corps encircled Ich'ang, Hupei and seized the city. The 39th Corps was one of the first units to cross into Korea to support operations against UN forces. On most occasions you will be assigned to play alongside infantry squads where through your special designation you will be taking the armor and artillery to support advances or defense. You will be expected to train with a partner to finesse your skills to our advantage.
Lanzhou Military Region Air Force (Airforce)
- The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) is the aviation branch of the People's Liberation Army, the military of the People's Republic of China. The PLAAF is the largest air force in Asia and the third largest in the world. The Lanzhou Military Region is one of seven military regions in the People's Republic of China.

The COALITION
High Command
- Comprised solely of a LEADER GUY it is considered the “brass” or upper ranks. In keeping with military tradition they hand out orders to the Officers Commanding (OC's) who then relay the message to the troops under their command. He may also sometimes issue orders directly and their orders always supersede those given by the OC's. He his a very liked guy, as he gives out lots of Beer, cookies.. etc.
The Indian Armed Forces
- The Indian Army is the world's second largest army in terms of military personnel (after China). It is a completely voluntary service, the military draft having never been imposed in India. The army has rich combat experience in diverse terrains, due to India's diverse geography, and also has a distinguished history of serving in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
The Secret Services
- Because of both the secrecy of secret services and the controversial nature of the issues involved, there is some difficulty in separating the definitions of secret service, secret police, intelligence agency etc. The powers and duties of a government organization may be partly secret and partly not. The organization may be said to operate openly at home and secretly abroad, or vice versa.
The United Nations Peacekeepers
- The United Nations has played an important role in maintaining peace and order in Jammu and Kashmir since the transfer of Power to India and independence to Pakistan in 1947. Immediately after the freedom a dispute erupted between India and the successor nation-state of Pakistan on the question of the very basis of accession of Jammu and Kashmir by the ruler. New Delhi took this matter to the United Nation and the Security Council passed resolution 39 (1948) and established the United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP) to investigate and mediate the issue.

The MERCENARIES
- A mercenary is a person who takes part in an armed conflict, who is not a national or a party to the conflict, and is "motivated to take part in the hostilities essentially by the desire for private gain and, in fact, is promised, by or on behalf of a party to the conflict, material compensation substantially in excess of that promised or paid to combatants of similar ranks and functions in the armed forces of that Party".
- As a result of the assumption that a mercenary is essentially motivated by money, the term "mercenary" frequently carries negative connotations, though that can be a compliment in some contexts. There is a blur in the distinction between a "mercenary" and a "foreign volunteer", when the primary motive of a soldier in a foreign army is uncertain.

C13 THE RULES / DIE SPIELREGELN
English
General:
- Duration: 8 - 10 Week Campaign(may change)
- Winner is determined by capturing the Enemy HQ and holding it for 2 week rotation or by holding the most tiles by end of system.
- No map draft will be done, map names are given to each enemy and they choose which map they want on their designated tiles.
- Tiles can only have one map on them.
- Each map will be fought over the best of 3 rounds, if the attacker wins they keep the tile for their army, if the defender wins then the attacking army loses the option to re-attack within 2 week period.
- Sides switch after each round. Defender picks side to play for first round. This is subject to change.
- Only 3 tiles can be attacked per week and attackers cannot jump tiles, they have to be done in succession.
- When a tile is won by an attacker that tile cannot be re-attacked by the losing side the following week, a grace period is put on that tile until their next attack after the agreed waiting period (to be confirmed).
- Attack ends after time limit or one full battle day (1est to 7est).
HQ Tiles:
- All HQ battles are the best of 5 rounds.
- If an opposing team captures the other team's HQ tile, the team that lost its HQ will have 1 week to recapture their HQ back. [More information to follow]
- If the defending division that took the enemy HQ loses the battle and fails to hold the tile, the entire division is destroyed and sent back to its (starting tile/HQ). also, the HQ is barred from another attack from a following division the next week. This is to make it so that the same map isn't played in excess, and that the defending team can reorganise.
- If a HQ tile is captured on week 8 of the campaign, a week 9 will be extended to allow recapture unless the attacking team is winning in tiles by more than 1, thus preventing a tiebreaker.
Special Instructions:
To cover the gray areas in respect to what players can do the Generals have agreed on the following "Special Rules" [to be confirmed].
- UCB Attack Conditions Print this out and keep it near your PC .
- Seat Swapping in Aircrafts. [to be confirmed]
- Use of Sniper kits [to be confirmed]
