I used to have a desktop mic and highly recommend a headset one. It's just hell of lot more convenient and you'll be understood better. Friends of mine i have a Sennheiser headset. Ranging from 15$ to 65$ and are all happy with em.

Last but not least you'll have to turn on infrared in your mobile. Most mobile phones switch the infrared port ...

Line in/Microphone in could be muted in Windows Audio mixer. Double Click on the speaker icon in systray and go to options, select advanced and click the hell out of it.
Last but not least some headsets have real switches to mute the mic.

The new patch doesn't patch anything (at least for me) it just enables for the new unlocks. The new Addon is nice. I like it. The maps are awesome, except for one i'd say, and the night thingie, zip line and grappling hook are hilarious. Move a whole Squad across the map in no time and have them up ...

I installed the current patch on the GCCE Server (85.10.200.170).
I guess Icon Gamer will have it installed till Saturday too. So I say yes. Would be nice if someone could make sure with Icongamer that they have patched our server till Saturday.

There are plenty of reason how a dual core or regular smp system affects software. Afaik Windows XP has a Problem with it's Scheduler. If one of the two cores goes to a lower mhz rate to consume less power the Windows Scheduler (the magic that distributes threads between the two cores) might get con...
