I like this mod, especiallly the heli-controls. It feels now more accurate than the noob-stearing from vanilla. And i think you cannot bail anymore... which gives oportunities for new tactics.

If you look at something new and it lags shortly, it must be the Video-RAM. (loading in new textures and so on) I have the same issues at the beginning of a new map. After a few secs, its gone! I dont think this has something to do with your RAM. And Dual-Channel is definatly better with than withou...

I have everything on medium and experience some slowdowns when the screen gets "blurry", the rest is fine.

System:

AMD 64 3700+
1024 Ram

Maybe your cpu is bottlenecking?
Try Sisoft Sandra to check if the gfx card is running fine.
