Re: Building a computer timeline.

What sort of budget are you looking at? Will BF3/4 be the only games you play? If you're going to build a budget rig then I'd probably put it off as long as possible. Or you could build a cheap rig now and then do a small upgrade once BF4 comes out, perhaps keeping your graphics card and crossfiring...

Re: Building a computer timeline.

Are you looking to buy a new laptop or build a new desktop PC?

If you think it was bad in Gladius... just be glad you weren't an officer in PRIDe.

Re: General Nominations!

I'd like to see Cheesy vs. Duke, myself.

Or Flummi vs CallIDTheft. Except I wouldn't play, just sit back and watch.

Also, I'm not really sure how fair it would be for breadcrumbs to be against Fields.

Re: BF3 Commander mod

I don't really understand GC's absolute requirement of punk buster. It's not like it works very well in the first place, and if anybody's really suspicious we could ask them to record their footage or something. (I actually think there are half you can use to detect hackers.) While I don't necessari...

Re: Air Superiority CONFIRMED!

If you want to include it the BO (although I'm certainly not advocating for it) we could run it on two servers. One, the normal server for that BO, where real l33t pilots can do their thing, and the other server where aeronautically challenged individuals such as myself can mess around.

Re: When trying to change signature...

First thing I would do would be to either re-host all of them on imgur/minus (shorter URLs, less issues) or combine them into a larger image.

Re: global conflict video intro

The glittery effect on the "global-conflict.org" is a little cheesy - I would replace it with a more serious/military style effect such as the blinking flashy white square with rounded corners/computer console cursor type thing used in BF3 in the bottom right corner when it says loading. (...

Re: [Company of Heroes]

Are the expansions necessary? I'm going to miss the sale and with CoH 2 due out late Q1 early Q2, I'm hesitant to drop $50 on CoH 1 It's a fairly fun game and good RTS, however I wouldn't pay $50 for it - The only reason I have it is that I got it through a humble bundle that had plenty of other go...

Re: Fields' ultimate streaming guide

Very nice guide, thanks Fields. The Origin client has some streaming capabilities to twitch.tv - I'm not sure about its current implementation though, perhaps its still in the beta versions. I know a lot of people here hate Origin, but it would still probably be worth mentioning. For myself, my inte...

Re: Anyone up for some civ?

You'd be surprised how intensive (read: poorly optimized) Civ can be, especially CPU-wise. I'd be down, but I'm also going to be out of town without a laptop that can run Civ for a week starting Sunday. Maybe I can squeeze something in before or after that though.

Re: [Planetside 2]

Everyone from GC i've been playing with lately has been playing Terran; I would also be fine with NC, but Vanu is a nogo. I say we make a poll. I can do that later, but i'm on my phone right now. Lies. Nothing but fascist propaganda. Just because he brain-washed a few people doesn't mean all of GC ...
