all day i was avoiding spoilers but i knew something big happened. i was hoping it would be them knocking down lannister castle and swimming in all the gold like scrooge mcduck
It was brutal, yet I'm dying so see the season finale next weekend. Never read the books, and my wife who has, says nothing is sacred. Very well made series in my opinion.
Just got around to watching it. Not bad, I must say. There were a few changes from the book that I didn't care for, but on the whole, a very well done scene. Apparently, it's the number 1 reason they wanted to make it into a TV show.

I forget what happens in the middle of the third book... But it is the middle of the book, so it can't be anything too spectacular. I'm actually surprised they didn't time it so they ended with the Red Wedding. I suppose you can't rush a good story, however.

I was thinking about that while at work today. There's a couple ways they could end this season, and it's basically either more "oh god why?" oriented, or they could swing it in the opposite direction so it ends on a "holy crap, frak yeah!" note. The problem is, there's so much "oh god why?" material, and not so much "frak yeah!" material in the last half of the third book.
