Well, those driving incidents happen in every country, it's just that the Russians have more videos of it due to a lot of insurance frauds. People walk into cars and claim money from the driver. That's why there are a lot of dashcams around.

It's watching videos like this that reminds me why I also have a dashboard cam, and also why I stay at a reasonable distance behind the person in front of me. Enough time for them to suddenly stop and me have time to react, and also so twats like some of the drivers here have space to pull in in case they decide to try to overtake when there is a bloody lorry coming at them in the other direction.

EDIT: I do have to say, there is actually some quite impressive defensive driving, like the guy who sees the truck with the logs coming towards him and manages to move completely out the way.

i disagree. i've never seen or heard about a wheel coming off a vehicle while you drive.
not to say about driving without a wheel. which seems pretty common in russia.

i've been in russia, the road laws are stupid (on green light you can drive forward and to the LEFT?!?!?! wtf?), poorly constructed roads: applying asphalt right on the dirt -> road is washed away or collapses.

reading just the first two paragraphs is enough to understand how severe their situation really is.

@Necro, what do you mean? On green light you can drive left, forward and right unless stated otherwise by the road signs ofc. If you drive left however, the cars coming from the opposite direction have right of way and you have to let them through before you can proceed. At least that is how I was taught.

on a normal intersection yes.
maybe its just here, but on a intersection with traffic light, you have a separate light to go forward + right, and a separate for the left.

intersections with traffic light have heavy traffic, how can you turn to the left when cars coming at you from the opposite direction? the only way is to "push in" until someone lets you in. and on roads with two or more tracks? that just an accident waiting to happen.

edit: completely forgot about the norm of beggars to stand in the middle of the road and block your way. and they don't care youre racing 60K/H or more.
