Re: Cool master CPU fan no longer spinning
open and see how dusty it is in there.
Re: Cool master CPU fan no longer spinning
very dusty.
And I just ran temp stress diagnostic test on my computer because my computer crushes 7 more times today while I was playing. Then I found out my CPU fan would actually stop spinning when it reaches high 70-80 degrees C.
I will try to clean it, but that random change in speed makes NO fracking sense..

If dust has made its way into the bearings/sleave, it will gum up at different temps. Which case, you're better off buying a replacement $5 fan. Double check the connecters, CFM, and dB.

So it works until 70-80 C, then it stops? That is extremely odd.. if you manually control the fan does it stop at a certain point?Snow1Wolf wrote:very dusty.

I will clean it, but my GPU is way more dusty than my CPU fan, and yet its temperature doesn't shift at all.
And I actually am looking for a CPU fan controller or something, could you recommend one please?

Speedfan should work.Snow1Wolf wrote:I will clean it, but my GPU is way more dusty than my CPU fan, and yet its temperature doesn't shift at all.

Oh, I wasn't sure so I looked on battlelog and it says China.
Is it a stock cooler or an aftermarket one?
Assuming it's an aftermarket cooler w/ a 120mm fan - If you don't care about noise High Speed Yate Loons are good cheap fans. http://www.amazon.com/Yate-Loon-120mm-D ... pd_cp_pc_2 If you do care about the noise I think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835220049 is a good option.
If it's a stock cooler you might as well just get a whole new cooler, a Hyper 212+ is good.

So you should be able to find a trusted fan-dealer

Fans are serious bizness yosushi25 wrote:So you should be able to find a trusted fan-dealer
One time I tried to buy a Noctua NF-F12 for my silent build, and the dealer laced it with a Delta. I had the cops called on me because they thought I had an illegal jet turbine in my computer.

Re: Cool master CPU fan no longer spinning
OK, um here is an small issue though (an?), it is an cool master....
Oh wait I am an IDIOT.
It is call Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212.
And I actually do have 2 sets of 120mm fan in the front I could use, but this fan requires a clip on to the, um tower part?
How would I solve that problem?
