Planky reformats AGAIN

Post by WoodenPlank »

Not really a help issue, but an update.
Since 1.3 came out, ive been fighting some serious PC problems. Games having very odd graphical problems, BF2 doing very odd things, SF refusing to install.

So I finally bit the bullet and reformatted. This is the FOURTH reformat thanks in whole or part to BF2.
Im reinstalling as much as I can right now. Fun, eh?

Hope that it is all worth the trouble WoodenPlank. Wouldn't that suck if problems reappeared? I've had sooo many crashes since 1.3 it ain't funny. Haven't hit the point of frustration you got. I have been cleaning/defragging obsessively though.

Bah, BF2 never crashed on me, and I never had to reformat cause of BF2... So... I'm kind of lost with your bugs poping out of everywhere with BF2 :P

Some of the earlier problems were results of corrupted registry entries, patch corruptions, etc that uninstall/delete reg keys/reinstall failed to fix. This was some REALLY odd graphical issue affecting several games.

You had the failing memory issue at one point which would eat your registry alive. Make sure thats not acting up again.
