This is the first rule of GC that everyone should be familiar with. It effects us both in and out of game, on the forums and on TS. It is the general expectation of behavior and applies to ALL GC members. Play with honor, speak with respect and listen to your commanding officers and you should have no issues here at GC.
In addition to this guiding principle there are two rule sets everyone should be familiar with for C8. The first is GC's "fairplay" rules. These rules were adopted by the votable members to enhance the fairness and enjoyability of our battles. They are designed to reflect GC guiding principles and we expect every soldier, from the General to the lowly grunt, to respect and play by these rules.
Pay special attention to the Pre-Live Rules as we have had issues with them in the past:
The second rule set is our campaign system rules. These are the rules by which we run our campaign. While it is not critical for soldiers outside the HC to be intimately familiar with their details, it is recommended that everyone read them over at least once. Reading them over will help you understand what you are fighting for as well as the why and how of the decisions made on which map we play, how many rounds, which side your team plays, etc. Understanding these rules will also be a prerequiset for anyone wishing to fill an HC position in future campaigns.Pre Live
Players are expected to join the server 15 min before the battle starts. Before we go live (or during a map switch) players must follow these rules, so both armies can hand out orders and organize their troops without distraction.
NO Teamkilling. Many who join the server are here to scout their orders, see where their vehicle spawns, exit routes, etc., don't annoy them by killing them. Also, gunfire in the base makes it difficult for a SL to hear his orders properly.
DO NOT enter the enemy base (or the flag they start with).
The rest of the map is a playground to chase and kill the players with the red tags.
I know there is a lot of reading there but knowing these rules will make your time at GC less problematic and more enjoyable.
Thank you for your time and good luck to everyone in C8!
