Pretty sure it was AK release. When we had the first reddit Rush we had no gun issues with either server.
The issue was ported across platforms. The PS3 had it really bad.

As far as I can tell, I never heard about the gun glitch until the battleday that occurred after the release of Aftermath. That's when a bunch of people got it and started talking about it. Could it have started when AK came out, but only very few people would ever get it?

As for game modes, I posted in the gun glitch thread that I got it during Wake Island rush.

in AK the gun glitch was present, but not nearly as bad as it's been during the scrims/BFI for this campaign. We also straight up never had it in C2 or C3.

There is no disabling expansions. On the server side, all one can do is queue up maps from the full list.

On the about time note, EA/Dice have finally allowed people to join a server just recently whether or not they have all the DLC in the map queue. Users now get kicked when the map changes to a non-purchased DLC map.

I don't know much about programming, so pardon me if this idea is too far fetched, but would it be possible to incorporate a live scoreboard in the GC website? Also, we could log in all the streaming channels of members of GC and somehow only display the ones that are online and put it togheter with the live scoreboard. I know I'm totally taking this idea from LevelBF, but I'm thinking about something simpler, just a page or a little widget in the homepage that shows the live ticket count of each side and which map is being played, and a little drop-down box that show the streams that are online, you click on a channel and it opens the twitch.tv page.

The live tickets are easy to do, i have a partially done version already (not our server, updates every 10 sec).

As for the list of streamers, it don't sound to difficult to do. twitch might even have an api for checking of a user are currently streaming.

Levelbf.com has an app they've developed that does this already.
http://levelbf.com/live/

It not only grabs ticket score, k/d and other individual player stats, it also grabs the metadata on player/vehicle location, cap point status, and death events.

They're open to sharing it. If this is something GC would like to use let me know and I can arrange a meeting.

Thx, most of us know of this amazing app.
For the metadata on player location etc. punkbuster has probably to be disabled. (It must be provided from someone in-game, I think). From other threads I know that we are probably not going down that road (yet). I am just fine with that.
But there is not reason not to check out if one can use the rest of their app, if it also used public APIs.

However, cairdazar's app is already almost there, except from a fancy design maybe. Would be a shame if his work was for nothing.

Do any one know how they are getting the extra data?

I see two ways of doing it:
1 reading the ram of an running game client, most likely need punkbuster disabled.
2 sniffing the data traffic between a running game and the game server, should not need to have punkbuster disabled.

Both requires some one to be on the server, and running a program locally. I can't really see any way around that.

I do need some design help, if any one is willing ;)

And I don't mind if we end up using their stuff, I would not be doing it if I din't like to tinker with things like this.

The levelbf app does not need a non-pb server, it works fine with pb servers and has been used for the last 2 months without issue.

Yes, it is pulling the data from the ram of a running game client, but it does it passively. You do not need punkbuster disabled and levelbf has run it successfully on pb servers for the last 2 months without a problem. You are correct it has to be done by someone playing in the match.

Meaning it worked the last 2 months correctly doesn't prove it's allowed. It's a great feature but imo it shouldn't be possible. I mean it IS technically a hack since everyone is spotted automatically.

hmmm, if levelbf is not sharing it THAT openly, punkbuster doesnt know....
Personally though, I wont run it. Dont like anything that smells like hack. If it will leak openly (and it will at some point),
people will get into trouble.
