I hate how most gamers constantly go on about how big publishers are literally Hitler, while buying every new iteration of whatever franchise they happen to be attached to.
It's especially great how Valve is always hailed as the physical manifestation of Zeus, while EA is basically the Grinch. Yes, EA is a greedy company. So is every other big publisher or other company ever (Including the allmighty GabeN), because that's how capitalism works.

Yes, the CEO of EA doesn't care about the quality of destruction in BF4, he cares about sales. Because that's his job. He's supposed to. Yes, the game is released in an unfinished state. Because people still buy it. And that's what matters for a company (Those greedy sellout f**ks having a job and making money to buy food and stuff, right?).

The only companies that can afford to be very passionate about their games are small developers, independent or small studios, like for example Bohemia Interactive. If you have a specialized area and audience, you can afford to take your time, create mod tools etc., Once you sell 10 million copies on your first day, you can't afford to do that anymore.

If you really care that much about the state of the gaming industry, then how about you vote with your wallet and stop buying their products?
If you think that the negative effects of these business practices outweigh the fun you have with the game, don't buy it. If you feel like 2 years of fun is worth giving some money to EA, buy it. AND THEN SHUT UP ABOUT IT.
Everyone knows that big businesses are greedy, there's not some conspiracy going on that you need to inform people off, so there's no need to try to tell everyone what they should or shouldn't buy because you don't like the company.

I'm not saying that you should or shouldn't buy BF4. But if you find that EA is too evil to deserve your money, move along. If not, go ahead and buy it. But then stop circlejerking about being EA's battered housewife that keeps coming back.

lol
I don't really care. Most of the bugs people are getting don't affect me, and I'm having quite a lot of fun in BF4. I'm not saying anything about boycotting or bitching about how it's unfinished - and obviously I bought the game - I just thought it's good info to know that, as a fact, EA rushes DICE constantly for sales purposes.

To get the update you have to right click on Battlefield 4 in origin and choose Search for update, or whatever it says for you. ;)

The server doesn't crash anymore when the house goes down on Siege of Shanghai.

btw, Flummi is 100% right. Just stop buying if you hate them so much.
As for the jokes,
It's fun to poke fun at EA every once in a while.

I"d still vote EA most evil company for a second year in a row, but missed the first vote. Even tho they really shouldn't win it on a global scale.
What gets to me is they are the Baghdad Bob telling us obvious lies and promising empty promises repeatedly to later claim that its such an awesome game because it sold so much. I still like BF4 at a base level, just wish their multi billion budget marketing was matched in development. They probably would be able to deliver on most promises if they did.
I agree, the people below EA are given impossible goals with the budget and promises EA dishes out. Yet, I'd have to wonder if Dice isn't manned by yes people from top to bottom at this point because most likely, they wouldn't have a job.
