battlepacks: those XP boosts

Post by sushi »

I am wondering how the xp boosts work. Are they activated when you open the battlepack for the next period you play, or can you actually choose when to use the boost.

If they are activated automatically, I guess I should get my settings right and play a little to feel comfortable before I start opening.

they count only the actual play time.

You need to activate them in-game: Hit ESC and click thingy in the bottom right corner

No, but there is a danger to using the boosts.
If you activate one and the server you where on crashes all the points/unlocks you gained on that server is lost.
An I think that the time still counts towards the boost.

A crash mimics a quit, If you leave close to the end of a round, it will still count. Happened to me yesterday where I went 50 and 3. :D

If you game crashes true, but is the server crashes you get nothing.
I was doing good on dawnbreaker with the CN MAA with ~25 and 3 when the server crashed and now I don't have a single kill with it =/

server sends the update query to battlelog only at the end of the map. So if the server crashes - the round is gone.
not sure if the time of the boost is "refunded" or not, haven't used it yet. could be that the XP boost timer is local and is not getting reset when the server crashes.

XP boost time is refunded at if the server crashes. i guess it needs a 'end of round' stamp.
