Tried to seed the server earlier but got kicked for being idle, If an admin can adjust the idle kick timer i would appreciate it

Good point Ferrit! What do you propose? Turning idle time-out off completely? There aren't many (non GC) idlers when the server is full anyway and those can be kicked manually.

Anything really not sure what Ash used to have it set on, Just long enough that i can idle there and get it alive while i do my Forum stuffs.

I'd suggest we don't do this as it encourages stat padders to come in. If 2 of us seed and then go away that allows 2 stat padders to come in and no one would see until one of us came back.

No matter what we do it will always happen.
Anyway, come Tuesday seeding the server will be a little less boring as i'll be able to jump in a chopper and fly around instead of looking at "WAITING FOR PLAYERS, 3 players needed"
Wonder how long till it's burnt into my screen :p

Just gave the server a try to see if i could move around while trying to seed the server, Same as before planted to the spot, So they either removed it from the patch or it is a server side option. Can one of you lovely admin type people have a look please..

Set server to 1 player start. Manually turned off idle.
No matter what we do, stat padders are a possibilty. A full server can have stat padders padding away in a corner somewhere. I even consider playing 24/7 metro with 1400 tickets stat padding.

My 50 cent for server idel settings ...
If no admins are present to manually adjust/maintain settings i recommend the following:
Conquest Large
Idle kick OFF
Teambalance ON
Tickets > 500
Ability to switch teams ON
This would be feasible to seed at any given time.
ATM it is not possible to switch teams, tickets run out way to fast and not all toys/vehicles are available to try-out/ mess around/ train with. I do understandm that frequent Updates are getting in the way of retaining custom settings, but that issue should be adressed with additional time and patience, e.g. server idle settings monitored and adjusted twice a day.

I think for B2k maps we should go with Conquest since the big maps lag a lot, not sure how its with Vanilla maps after the patch as I haven't played them since b2k was released.

GC server Europe ...
The only time i experienced lag there was before the 11-22 patch and before the B2K activation.
And the point i am/was trying to kind of clarify is, that on Conquest Large all toys are available ... AA-Vehicle, Jets, Choppers, Tanks etc-
When starting on the empty server this allows for training and, my favourite, goofing off ...
, racing vehicles, test firing weapons, parking jets in a warehouse ... all kinds of stuff in the sandbox there :=)
... then more peeps join in looking for just that ...
an opportunity to try out the F-35 or the AA-Vehicle, without getting shot down within seconds or being bounced of due to long loading time ... or flag hopping with the attack chopper single seat etc.
Then, once about 8-10 players are logged on, it usually only takes a few minutes to reach "combat" level, around 48-64 ...
considering the time of day and all, i got really good results with this setup before lunch CET ... just saying

We hear you loud and clear Zait. for 2 days the server was set all Large. Nada, never filled more than a few people. So basically I'm saying tried it and got bad results.
To get going it needs to start on the "small" or some people call 32 player maps first. Minor toy difference.
Until Dice fixes the server problems, only some maps will be available for pub play. EU server just now crashed and dumped 64 players killing the population.
Large Wake and Large Oman are now removed as those 2 appear to have high crash rates when loaded 48+ people. And is being discussed on server forums.
I had the joy of being on the NA server yesterday and watched it crash on both of those maps. The server got laggier and laggier before it crashed.
