Good animes?

Hey!

Anyone knows of any good animes, that are designed for adults, have a story line (that ends), and make sense (logically)?
like Death Note and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

edit: if you didn't see those, or never watched anime before (cus its stupid and for kids) i'd highly recommend giving a chance to Death Note, its only 37 episodes (20 min each). drop it if you don't like it after the first 5, but i'd bet you won't even be able to pause to take a leak.

Steins;Gate has a bit of a slow start but later becomes super addictive much like Death Note and FMA are. I recommend it if you haven't already seen it. :)

I'm not watching anime myself, but a friend of mine always recommends One Piece. He's pretty much addicted to it.

Addiction doesnt mean its any good.
Characters irrational decisions is really what ruins it for me in any movie or show. Or shooting from the hip...

Steins;Gate was really good. I'd say it's part drama, part suspense, part mystery, while practically all sci-fi.
Code Geass was a little dark for my taste, but the characters were very well done.
Fate/Zero was dark, but well done. The only problem is that it is part of a bigger story (the Fate/Stay Night universe). While possible to watch separately, not everything might make sense because it serves a prequel to Fate/Stay Night. As an anime though, I thought it was better than the sequel's anime. A fantasy, action, story. Possibly some drama?
Currently watching one called Psycho Pass. Dark with mystery and suspense. Still ongoing though, so I doubt you'll want to wait for an episode once a week.

I would like clarification on what you mean in term of the anime being "designed for adults." Is it in terms of theme or story? What elements would make it classified as "designed for adults"? It might make it easier for me to name some suggestions.

By "adults" I think he's referring to more mature themes. So I'd say it would knock things like Yu-Gi-Oh or w/e things like that off the list.

If so, my opinion would be that you'd have to take off K-On from that list. Haha.

I've still never finished K-On, or at least the second season. Too lazy, even though I've watched other KyoAni stuff that came after K-On.

characters being killed, facing moral conflicts, and making rational decisions.

the fact is i got tired from Hollywood movies. they have more effects and less logical outcome.
last 3 movies i've seen last week just made me feel i wasted time from my life for nothing. it was Wrath of the Titans, Snow White and the Huntsman, and last James Bond: skyfall. all had a turning point based on a completely irrational decision of one of the characters. i was thinking to myself "WTFuck?! why the hell would you do that? i would NEVER EVER do that!". they just can't write a script that logically connect their story to their "good ending".
