start -> right click on "Computer" -> Manage -> under "storage" click "Disk Management"
in Disk Management see if the disk even listed. maybe all you need to do is set it as "active" or something.

You're right, turns out I had to assign a new letter to the hdd. Thanks for the tip.

And after fixing another 8 issues, my pc seems to be back to normal. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Running Intel 330 here, works fine and what I've heard Intel has one of the most reliable disks out there.
If you really want performance you should go for the 520 or 530-series, they also have a five year warranty.
