Campaign 1: There's Something Brewing on Kotelny!

Ladies and gentlemen, it's official! Global Conflict is pleased to be able to officially announce Battlefield Bad Company 2 campaign number 1, "There's something brewing on Kotelny!". Introducing the first Generals for this new era of GC:

Styphon, Mastermind of the Exceptionally Violent and Ill-tempered Liberation (E.V.I.L) Army

and

Chefcook, Head Chef of the Marvelous Unit of Power and Pride Ending Terror (M.U.P.P.E.T) Army


The unofficial signup thread for the campaign has now become the official signup thread and all names on the list, with the exception of the generals, their officers and the TA's, who will form the neutrals, shall be drafted at a later date.

Keep your eyes on the forums as more details about the campaign system, draft and the two sides are released over the coming weeks. We hope to have a detailed schedule with you very shortly, watch this space!

Woot! It's coming :D. Can't wait for the start of the new campaign. Going to be really exciting.

Its an honor and i hope i will fill in this role to get the best out of this new Campaign!

What about group signup?

groups need to be considered. thats just how it is. if we split a group and then all members leave b/c they don't get to play together on the same team, well thats just stupid on our part.

The concern was with such few numbers will groups hugely imbalance the armies? It's something that will be discussed and a firm decision hasn't yet been made.

I made a stylistic (and marginally grammatical) edit to the original post which no one will probably notice, but I'm going to mention it here anyways.


For the curious: there are a lot of gears turning in the background at the moment. So while things may not always appear to be too active, please know that we're hard at work in getting this campaign onto it's wheels.


To address group drafting: no official decision has been made. However, like Styphon said, there are concerns amongst a few of us that forming groups could cause imbalance. We are looking for a way to keep things balanced and still let people play with their friends - these are both very important concepts at =GC=
