And last but not least, a word about the Tournament Administrators and the community in general. You may have noticed that our Mission Statement was recently revamped and posted. It's important for us as a community to pause from time to time and remember what GC is all about. As part of that effort, we have recently reviewed the Tournament Administrator position and come up with these TA responsibilities.

The major thing you'll note is the emphasis on the High Commands (and implicitly, the community at large) having responsibility for balance and fairplay issues. We felt that there was some unwanted drift over the course of BF3 away from the community at large working to resolve their issues, forcing the TAs into the middle of every dispute. For BF4, we are reaffirming the fact that the HCs, Officers and community members are just as responsible for these things as the TAs, and must work together to make sure the tournament remains fun for everyone.

few questions :
TA rules:
Monitor numbers on a battleday.
Ensure that the +1/+2 rule is satisfied before a round goes live.
what about during battle ?

campaign :
how many tickets do both armies start with ?
how does flag possession affect the bleed ?
Did i understand correctly that we dont have attack days but rather the teams take turns attacking flags on battledays ?
After all rounds are played, the defenders become the attackers and have five minutes to declare their attack.
Phase 1
...
6. 20 Maps * 2 Armies * 2 rounds per map = 80 rounds. Between 6-8 weeks, all maps played twice.
battlefield 4 launches with 10 maps

1) trying to manage numbers in the middle of the round is a pain (unless it's something ridiculous like 10 people drop), this way works better

2) conquest large vehicles and infantry only (assuming we get that infantry only control), or conquest large and conquest sizes.

+1/+2:
We are working on how we want to handle mid-round fluctuations.

Ticket system at present is the following:

400 tickets to start
5 tickets lost per loss
5 tickets per week bleed
12/20 maps needed to trigger the bleed (3/5 hold)

We will be playing the 64v versions of maps, in addition to ONE of the following:
32v
64i

to make our 20 maps.

5 tickets lost per loss
document said 1 ticket per loss
5 tickets per week bleed
12/20 maps needed to trigger the bleed (3/5 hold)
so maps/flags held past that point wont change bleed speed ?

additional questions:
Each round played will result in the loss of a single ticket by the losing team.
Sides will be swapped between armies after each round.
Flag ownership is determined by a best of 2 rounds played on the map associated with that flag.
so you can lose 2 tickets attacking a flag ?
If the flag is neutral and the attacker loses, the flag stays neutral.
does the attacking team still lose tickets ?

Oops, you're right, I didn't go through and change the ticket counts up. We started using 80 with 1 ticket lost per round, but someone suggested bumping it up to 400 with 5 just to give it more of a BF4 round feel.

3/5s bleed with no bleed bonus for more flags held.

Yes, losing a round loses you the flag. Doesn't matter if you're attacking or defending or what the flag outcome is.

Congratulations to all the new officers!

The HCs on both sides took a lot of care in trying to create two balanced officer corps splitting experienced folks, being sure to give some new guys their shot, and even welcoming back an old favorite who has been lost in space for many years!

I can't wait for this campaign to get started, I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun.

Is that the final version of the campaign map?

I ask for two reasons: 1) it has 21 flags, and 2) an earlier version connected Tokyo with Pyongyang.

With a starting rotation of 20 maps, and 1 to be placed on each flag, one map will be played twice.

... wow. This map has been around for months, I never noticed that. Well, I guess I'll strike Pyongyang from the map.

Also, we had a lot of signups but only picked a few per side for now. Everyone else, which includes everyone who signed up for just "squad leader" on the officer draft, will be selected in the regular draft.

The tickets Starfisher is referring to is Army Tickets for the Campaign system think of them as army points. Not in game tickets or in game bleed. I have that correct right?

you do. Tickets are lost as you lose, and can be gained via black ops wins. first team to hit 0 loses.

RE: The Campaign System Document

1) "The first army to hit zero tickets on a Saturday loses the campaign." (found in the Campaign Overview) conflicts with "The campaign is over the moment one army hits zero tickets and has no chance to recover them. If an army hits zero tickets on a Black Ops, but they still have a chance to recover one ticket, the Black Ops will continue until that chance is gone." (Campaign Victory Conditions)

2) In Campaign Initialization: "Each army will have an deployment..." should be: "Each army will have a deployment..."

In addition to the points already outlined...
