A call for BF3!

Battlefield 3 isn't without problems, however most of these problems were also transferred to BF4 and more severe.
Battlefield 3 has good maps, like Sharqi, Karkand, Grind Bazaar and more. All weapons are allowed, and its genuinely fun to play, unlike BF4 and its vertical maps.
Thus, I call for a
BF3: Campaign 7

And to fill our ranks we should make post on the Battlefield 3 subreddit.
Spoiler: show
For those saying a CTE patch is right around the corner - its always is. Don't worry, BF3:C7 will end right in time for the "Teamplay initiative" patch. Then we could try BF4 again.
Bring back the fun to Battledays.

If it weren't for the CTE Fall patch coming out in the next couple weeks, I would be all for it. Unfortunately, I really want to play a BF4 campaign with the CTE fixes. I was hoping they would have come out during this last campaign, but alas.

As someone who didnt play in last campaign cause of the state of bf4, i believe bf3 with the gun glitch would be much worse. It interrupts the game too heavily.
We could try to not play on the maps most prone to it (Karkand, sharqi, armored shield, caspian) but it happens on every map and the cause has never been made public. Just one of hte bugs that got actually fixed going to bf4 :P

Venice Unleashed will hopefully not have such a bug.

Well,I feel sorry for you guys tbh. You're expecting them to fix the game?Well, it will never get fixed,so you can wait and have one more BF4 campaign, which won't change anything and more people will leave until we reach the bottom.I think we should have an official vote on that topic and see what the majority thinks.

No patch will fix BF4, as its build upon bad design principles. From map design to the RGO grenade.
I still find it weird the gun glitch ever only effected GC that bad. Maybe we'll be more lucky this time.
Either way i'd rather fight the gun glitch for the right to have fun, then play a game that really isn't fun just because it works. I'm tired of muttering a curse because of a WTF! BS moments every 10 seconds.
And from the campaign feedback thread, its seems im not the only one who genuinely doesn't enjoy playing BF4.

As posted in the Feedback thread, please refrain from making any actual notions of a BF3 camp just yet. Are you free to discuss the differences and try to convince everyone else? SURE! Just do not go off on your own and try and push for a vote on this. The current system of people making the "official" posts are in place to make sure everyone is on the same page with what the community as a whole is going to do and the direction we are going to take. Like BF4 or not, we should give this new patch a fair and valid chance. Just give it time fellas.

Anyone who's been here for more then a month knows that we have 0 power over anything.
Seems like some people would like a BF3 campaign , but its disregarded as something that will never happen.
Just like the Scottish Independence, A BF3 campaign is viable, all it really takes is for you, spreez, to say that.
Thats the hardest part. Everything else will fall into place as the ball starts rolling.

Not really, we're just saying that with a new patch and DLC coming out it's still worth trying and that posting hashtags about BF3 in a BF4 Campaign Feedback thread was pretty useless. k:roll:
And to add onto that, for playing with the infantry this whole past campaign, I rarely heard any complaints about "WTF! BS moments," and when there was it was very often because of general server lag spikes not because someone got KIA'd for no reason. Other complaints were simply when friendly squads would get wiped because of bad positioning or bold movements in-game, but I never noticed getting unfairly shot around corners, not being able to use my gun, etc.

I can tell you right now, if we went to BF3 I personally wouldn't be coming. More and more I played bf3 the more every single maps horrid design of funneling everyone into some corridor or another became apparent. The terrible weapon design and class balance which resulted in effectively if you weren't an assault with the head shot magnet M16 you were essentially useless to the team. The armour, and yes saying this as an armour player was so overpowered it was ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned bf3 was the most un battlefield game to date.

Bf4 for all its alledged problems feels way closer to a proper battlefield. Theres some questionable gadget inclusions sure but overall still feels closer than it did in Battlefield 3. Yet the battlefield community has this bandwagon hate that they continue to spout. First it was net code which was understandable and from what I've experienced and many have seemed to agree has been fixed. But that wasn't enough, they had to find more to complain about. Now it seems to be verticality of maps which I find astonishing as I remember aftermath dlc being everyone's supposedly favorite dlc, it's entire design philosophy was verticality. So you have to look up as well now, I honestly can't imagine how that is a bad thing.

The dwindling numbers from the last campaign I can almost guarantee wasn't because of bf4. Some internal drama occurred in one army resulting in a loss of a few people which was never recovered from resulting in it becoming very one sided. Which sucks for the losing side and is just boring to the other. You claim you have 0 power just because we aren't jumping on the abandon bf4 shtick the battlefield community as a whole has been on since the beginning but I count 5 maybe 6 people total who absolutely hate bf4 to the point that of not wanting to give it another go. Hardly a resounding majority. Comparing it to Scottish independence is honestly a bit extreme.

Anyway I have said more than I meant to. If there really is a legitimate call for BF3 so be it. Still not reinstalling it.

People are looking at it the wrong way. It all boils down to preference. If more prefer BF3 to BF4, and I have no idea if that's the case, then I don't see the problem in switching. It's just a different game, and it could be interesting to mix things up every now and then. Not exactly the end of the world as we know it.

Didn't I read somewhere we were first and foremost about the fun aspect of the game? If more and more complain they're not having fun playing BF4, and would rather give BF3 another chance why not look into it? Find out what the community really wants.

Personally, I couldn't care less. I'm not sure the frustration from the BF4 campaigns stems solely from the engine used.
