Sounds really interesting .I think it will be great!thallus wrote:I had the idea of just having a good ol' fasion pick up game where it would be like a mini GC campaign in a day.
If enough people could show up we could pick captains and just have a mini draft, kinda like on the B-Ball Court or dodgeball.
We'd play like Black ops. Each team plays both sides and we can play all different kinds of maps. CTF, Rush, mini CQ. We can even use ABC to see who'll show up. We don't even have to play the full 6 like a battle day unless everyone is up for it. maybe just 3-4 different maps, both sides.
You don't really win anything except for being the best that day, and on the next Saturday new captains, new teams.

USAS frags only yesterday after battleday was fun
Re: Post campaign Tournament
I'm definitely down for this. Have a generator choose random maps, or the captains flip a coin and each take turns deciding. People come in and out throughout the day and it could be a really fluid way to continue playing BF3 the way it's meant to be played.thallus wrote:I had the idea of just having a good ol' fasion pick up game where it would be like a mini GC campaign in a day.

Re: Post campaign Tournament
few more ideas after speaking with fields and duke on ts:
dirtbike jousting: 1 driver, 1 crossbow only guy (no scope, just the bow), drive in straight line medieval style, can't shoot until you reach a midpoint marked by a fence or something
medieval mode: crossbow and knives only

Zero Death TDM
Make the GC server public.
Get 32 GC players on and wait for it to fill up.
Manually switch everyone to the same team (no tags).
See how close to zero deaths the team can go for a full round.

Truly not trying to overcomplicate this great idea, but for us aspiring SLs it might be an opportunity for some 'on-the-job' training.BlackIce wrote:I'm definitely down for this.
