Hey guys,

I have a quick request from this community and I would really appreciate it if I could get some help with this.

I need 20-30 minutes of your time.

I have a project that I need to do as part of a research requirement. I need to do a focus group and try and get discussions going about IMPULSE PURCHASES.

I'd really like it if I could get some volunteers this Saturday or Sunday that would be willing to join me on TS with other GC members and just have a 20-30 minute discussion about impulse purchases. All backgrounds are welcome! Whether you are North American, European, Asian, or South American, I would appreciate all help I can get.

If this is something you could help me with, please make a quick post down below. Again, it's just 20-30 minutes! It would really help me out a lot.

what is impulse?
i don't think i have those.

Impulse is a digital store similar to Steam ran by Gamestop. It used to be ran by Stardock and was mostly known for being the main digital platform for the Sins of a Solar Empire series. Since Gamestop bought Stardock/Impulse, Sins made the transition to Steam as its primary download platform. Last time I used Impulse it was still a pretty solid store, the software that Stardock makes is pretty popular (like Desktop Fence) and distributed over Impulse.


Impulse was also a form of propulsion in the Star Trek Universe. It was used for when the ship was moving at non-warp (FTL) speeds. Impulse engines are driven by fusion reactions, so even if the warp core happens to be ejected, the ship can still move, albeit at sub-C speeds only.

Well Star Trek isn't real (sorry if this upsets anyone), Impulse Airlines no longer trade by that name, and Haruky is asking for assistance regarding Impulse purchases. I assume that he is speaking about buying items on the Impulse Digital Store, it is the only thing which fits.
