TeamSpeak Overlay working again on BF2 instructions...

TeamSpeak Overlay (TSO) allows you to see who is speaking and what channel while in the game. It shows through the game interface....

TSO stopped working on BF2 but someone rejiggered it..

BUT YOU MUST SELECT TWO ITEMS.
Steps I took that worked for 9+hours yesterday.
1) Install it
2) start regular TS
3) start TSO
4) Select 'options'
5) Select tab 'DEBUG' we need to select both options on this page.
6) CHECK MARK 'DEBUG MESSAGES'
7) CHECK MARK 'USE ALTERNATIVE DIRECTX METHOD'
8) click 'done'
9) click 'enable'
10) click 'hide'
11) launch BF2

I used this Beta version from
http://www.teamspeakoverlay.com/

Upgrading from Builds prior to #61, or a New User ?
Download TSO BETA (Full Installer)

Downloaded file was titled
TSO-BETA-2-Win32-Build63.exe

This is where i found out through google it was working again and some instructions from java
WARNING adult content BASHER stay off site!!

ever wondered who the hell is speaking when in a game while using TS?
problem solved:Teamspeak Overlay
Team Speak Overlay uses overlay to show you information on screen such who is speaking, current channel and a few other things.

you can get TeamSpeak Overlay from:
www.teamspeakoverlay.com

Only problem is "out of the box" it conflicts with PunkBuster, but thats easily sorted.
once you've downloaded TSO and run it:
Options->Debug->
Enable both "Debug Messages" and "Use Alternative DirectX Method"

click done, enable, then hide .. then start your game and it should all work fine.

I've put some screenshots of TSO in BF2 up on my gallery at http://rivig.com/screens/apps/tso/

Just remember that you need to start it before you open the game and not close it before you close the game. Otherwise the game will quit out.

I just want to remind each GC member that this tool works again- tested it on last saturday battle without problems.
Especially at the beginning of a campaign, this tool helps alot to get familiar with your squad- and teammates!

maybe slilghty offtopic but for me was usefull...maybe someone will happy with this too!

so this is for those who have old rusty Palm or handheld PC like IPAQ or who own external LCD Display..
If you have an old Palm, with PalmOS 2 or higher, you can really use it as an LCD.

You need PamlOrb emulation software running on the palm and LCD controlling software for windows, like LCDSmartie.

1. Get PalmOrb 4Keys version from : http://palmorb.smokee.net/

2. Install and run it on your palm.

3. Stop the hotsync software

4. Download and install LCDSmartie http://lcdsmartie.sourceforge.net/

5. Download and install the TS plugin http://users.apex2000.net/scb/TSPlug_Package.zip. Unzip all the DLLs in LCDSmartie plugin folder. The plugin requires .Net 1.1 or higher.

6. Run LCDSmartie.

7. In the right up corner, configure the LCD settings: Matrix Orbital, choose the COM port ,speed of 19200bps and LCD Size 4x20, then Apply.

8. Now configure the TS screen. In each display line add the folow:

$dll(TSPlug,3,0,param2)
$dll(TSPlug,3,1,param2)
$dll(TSPlug,3,2,param2)
$dll(TSPlug,3,3,param2)

This will display the names of 4 people talking in the same time.

Apply .... and you are done.

9. Be sure to check the PalmOrb screen options (in the Palm) to scale the text to the entire screen.
For those who have IPAQ only thing what you must do before this steps is download Palm Emulator from http://styletap.com/ to make PalmOrb work...

(disclamer: this si only copy/paste from 21cw comunity forum (dataman) and little addon about IPAQ from me)

Funnily enough I have 3 methods to see who is speaking on ts on my system :
1) Second monitor (well while I'm playing it's doing bugger all else!)
2) G15 keyboard, has a small graphic LD built in to show any old info, there is a TS plugin for this
3) MX412 (Matrix Orbital Character LCD screen) running my own LCDC software with the TS plugin to show who's talking
