BF2 Minimizing into the task bar [RESOLVED]

About 2-3 times a battle (and it always seems to be at a critical point) BF2 just shrinks into the taskbar, and I have to Alt-Tab to get it back. Even if nothing else is obviously running (including shutting down most things in the system tray).

ARGHH... I've done some searching and mucking about, but I haven't been able to fix it yet.

Anyone know anything at all about this?

only time this ever happens is from popup notifications (Xfire, Gmail etc...)

I would look for a program call killitall. This closes all unneccesary process.
Thats the only thing i can come up with.

I, too, only get the minimize when a popup window arrives (Mouse batt low, session timing out, etc...) I have not tried the killitall...but it is not a huge issue with me yet.

Yes, I have some kind of pop-up thing that doesn't actually pop up or something. I hate preconfiged laptops - they take forever to clean up and kill all the crap off - and if you're too aggressive, it just dies, because it relys on some of these things.

Thanks for the tip. I went looking for the program, and couldn't find it. Gotta link or a company name or something?

Opps

Program is called enditall, here ya go:

Edit: Put new link up. It's not the newest version (Enditall2) but it's the free one. The cost of the program if you want to buy it is $5.85US

Might also try spybot or adaware to get rid of the offending program.

No, wasn't adware or spyware. As far as I can tell, was some system util that came loaded on my laptop that I hadn't been able to find an kill off.

Perhaps Windows Security Update?

I hate that friggin thing, if it's left on it'll download updates as they come out if not set right, which could explain being kicked out.

Also... laptops suck for gaming. :P

I had a virus warning (from Symantec) pop-up in the middle of a battle, my comp could hardly handle it. But usually alt-tabbing the game to check out teamspeak and what not works well.
