CEVO will be starting a new BF3 tourny and is asking for what gamemode format. *PLEASE** vote 5v5 even if you dont care, it will bring back more teams.

If anyone is interested in starting a team with some people, it should be coming up somewhat soon.

Just curious, why do competitive players like 5v5 as a format?

5v5 is just enough players on most maps and the gameplay is better than (squad) rush

Regarding the players.

Almost every single competitive game is played as 5 man team. Most of the time is the team leader and 4 guys, those 4 guys can go as a couple (obviously regarding the specific game) and work better together if they stick most of the time with the same guy, so they can know each other better.

Anyways, I think i like 8v8 more than 5v5 for battlefield. But sometimes is really hard to even get 5 guys, and train together and stuff.

5v5 is better for the tourny IMO because it could bring people back, as many teams left the NA Scene because they didn't like Squad Rush. The Euro scene is mainly 5v5 CQ. 8v8 is awesome, but would never work because most of the people playing atm hardly have 8 active players, or even 8 players on roster.

Maybe GC could start a 4s or 5s team and get some people to sign up?

Do people play as a 4+1 squad in game, or 3+2?

Alienware was the last major tournament with 8 v 8 formats, after that 5 v 5 's have become the norm.

Squad hopping is allowed in these though, right? So squad layout will flip around a lot if you need to spawn forward on one guy.
