Anyone interested in doing some 5v5 competitive

So I played a bunch this weekend with PwnStar (DuckySchwag) and TheLeadMachine if any of you guys know who those two are and Pwn wants to start supporting more competitive Battlefield 4 tournaments.

I discussed with him about the possibility of 32v32 also, but due to the gigantic size necessary for the teams, we decided to start small and work up to larger teams and more Conquest play. Right now it's going to be 5v5 Domination and hopefully start in about a month.

Anyone that's interested, let me know as we will need to do a lot of practice on the various maps and talk about the headglitch spots, what points are most important, etc, so we need to get started pretty quick here if it's something that we want to do. If there's enough people interested, we could do multiple teams or a rotation if there's less than 10.

Let me know who's interested and let's get it rolling!

It sounds like an awesome idea. I kinda switched to csgo though :(

There are 32vs32 matches between communities/clans out there, but getting a team up is very challenging even for large clans. Starting smaller is a wise choice.
8vs8 or 12vs12 with tanks/choppers was also popular in BF3.

Domination? With random spawns? Not good. In BF3 people played 3/4 flag conquest maps.
Defuse is also worth a try maybe.
I dont have time for this, though.

Unfortunately Domination is pretty much our only option for 5v5 infantry only.. Small conquest is way too big and badly designed for infantry. Defuse is too broken, especially with the netcode in it's current state, and battlefield weapons have too fast of a time to kill (imo) for a single life game mode. Also, random spawns aren't AS bad as they sound. I was completely against it at first too, but if you learn how to control the map you can control the enemy spawns.

The larger comp modes (8/10/12s) are tough to organize as a team, and unfortunately there aren't very many teams doing them (at least in North America) I was trying to form a 10s team, but I was having trouble getting just getting my 5 infantry on to practice, and adding 5 more people to that makes it even harder, so I gave up.

There is a 10v10+commander Cup being held by LevelBF on Dec 14-15. More info here: http://www.battlefield-esports.com/foru ... f=8&t=1440
If you guys want to try to organize a GC team I'm in(assuming scheduling doesn't conflict with my 5v5 matches, which it shouldn't). I can do strat/in game team leading(if there isn't someone more qualified), but I don't have the time or patience to try to get a team together, I have a lot of 5v5 matches coming up.
Edit: I lied, I will try to organize something. I'll post a new thread for it.

Yeah, I've been in contact with some of the nXs guys and they told me "Defuse" is one of the most broken gamemodes out there.
Things like arming the bomb, round ends cuz of time, bomb explodes next round and gives you the win.
Your camera switching places with another player and going full spectator mode.
Etc, etc.

But I agree, domination is disgusting and it's never gonna make it to a competitive level.
Also the class balance is bad, not as bad as BF3, but still bad for competitive gaming.

Well here's hoping... I don't see why he would have said that otherwise, knowing zh1nto.

When has Zhinto ever known what he's talking about?

It's really funny, but in an interview before the game was released, Bach said that they are not focusing on competitive. They wanted to make a game that everyone would play and if eventually gets the intention of pro players, great, but it was not something they were focusing on. I think it was during E3. Then a month later zhinto comes and starts all that competitive crap.

Bomb explodes and next round you win, should be fixed in yday's patch.

ESL EMS One and Go4BF2 have been delayed for next year due to game instability.

Other than that, the idea is great

My team just played in a 5v5 Obliteration cup (inf only), we're up against Exertus EU in the finals now but we decided to delay it due to other delays and stuff.

The two locker rounds isn't that enjoying to watch since we pretty much dominated the opponents but the Hainan Resort rounds vs. Team Frostbite are nice.

First round starts at 43:50
