its not netcode, its dusting.
Mostly only a hit to the hull counts. Hits to the tail, or hits to hull from below/above are extremely unreliable.

On topic of the netcode: Does anyone else find it even worse now?

First week after patch release it was horrible. Nowadays, after readjusting gameplay due to all changes, I find it more often to be server dependant then "general bad netcode". The thing that bugs me the most since patch is the terribad seemingly random FPS drops happening on several maps...
