any exp with the first part BF1942? is it worth trying when it comes out?

I played the BF42 Pirates. It was funny. Dont know about this one.

It was worth the DL I thought.

Yeah, Battlefield Pirates was great. I remember one map had hundreds of balloons that you could sit in and you had to wage war in the skies. Lots of fun.

I downloaded it right as BF1942 was winding down, so I never got to try it in a real server. Running around while pushing a cannon was pretty cool though.

I liked the first one although a could never find a full game to join. A great laugh with lots of possibilities.

I played the BF42 Pirates.

I played it and after a couple weeks, I uninstalled the mod and avoided backing it up for my archives. There were servers enough then but the maps were huge and the equipment shortage ingame was insane.

Just a bunch of tards running around knifing each other and a few rowboats if you could steal one. BF2 Pirates might be better, but it would take a lot of recommendations before I would dl it again.

You must have played it long after I tried it, that's all I can say!

The Starwars mod and the one where you built your bases{Duh} was so much better than pirates, it was no contest.

Winter

It was still a fun mod to play Winter... but I do agree that Galactic Conquest (or something like that) was a really cool mod, and better than the pirates one. I never got into the base building one though, it seemed to be insanely laggy whenever I played it and riddled with bugs.

I played a bit more of Galactic Conquest than pirates. Was kinda neat to be a lizard going thru small openings in walls and biting people. Plus sailing ships around shooting people.
