[Simcity 5] Cooperative Play

I know some of you are getting the new Simcity. Anybody interested in starting a cooperative game?

If you're not familiar with how coop games work, essentially we choose one of the available regions (see here), each of us picks a spot on the region and we start building our cities. We don't interfere with each other's game speed or anything like that, but the cities do interact in terms of trade, we can provide each other services (electric, water, police), and so we can specialize our cities more and rely on the others for their specialties. There are a bunch of these being organized on Reddit, but I figured I'd check if there was any interest here before I joined up with a bunch of randoms.

Edit: Added best prices to top post
USA:
Amazon Physical Copy -- $60 - $20 Amazon credit = $40
Amazon Digital Only Copy -- $45 with code CAGROCKS on checkout

EURO:
CD-Key Edition -- €39.99

I'd love to, but I'll have to convince myself to spend the money to buy it and, more importantly, that I will not play it during all my free time fuckin' up my academic "career".

But I feckin' love SimCity. I'll think about it, and I'll let you guys know. I guess, to be safe, pick a region with lots of space for cities, so we have a margin in case lots of people decide to join.

EDIT: OGGOD CIV 5. I can't count the number of times I told myself "Just another turn" and suddendly it's 5 IN THE MORNING.

I'll be getting it eventually. I'll keep an eye for the first sale and will probably get it then.

That's a good strategy, I think I'll do the same. 60 euros is a lot, damn Maxis.

Amazon has it for $60 but you get a $20 credit towards another Amazon purchase. So if you shop at Amazon at all, you're essentially getting the game for $40.

You should NEVER buy a game at retail price unless it has a rare preorder bonus that you might want.

For example, Dead Space 3 went on sale for $40 a week after its release.

On Amazon.it (Yes, we're absurdly bad at electing our politicians, our internet sucks, we got Mafia everywhere, but we have our own Amazon) it's at 45 euros discounted, it'd be 55 without a discount. I guess I'll wait a week or so after release, if the 'merica one still costs less, I'll get that with a digital download.

It sounds like a couple of you might join up soon after the game comes out. I've got one guy who will join for sure, so we need at least 4 spots I figure. I really like Reflection Atoll, which has 7 spots, which leaves a little room in case someone else decides to jump in. So I think I'll start up a region on that map.
