Global Conflict

No doubt I'm biased, but this feels very BF4 to me. From the character movement to the way the environment renders, it just screams "Frostbite" at me.

I just hope I'm wrong, and that this turns out to be a good game.

Ehh this looks and feels a lot like the old Battlefronts to me more than BF4. Still dunno if I'll be buying it on release though.

I am unable to make any reasonable judgement with sw games.

Why do they always put idiots' footage on the "game play" videos.
"An AT-ST, I have a rocket launcher but I'll herp derp and shoot it with a blaster for a bit. Oh, now it targets me, I guess I'll shoot my lawn chair..."
"Herp derp, I'm in a Tie fighter shooting an X-wing but only when it's not in my cross hairs cos that would make logical sense. Ooh, a tunnel run, I'll stop shooting for a bit."

I get that EA wants nice footage but find footage from someone who can actually play the game (or allowed to actually play the game) that is all nice and cinematic, not someone who's been told what to do and when to do it. It's just a "live action" sequence not game play. The guy in the tie fighter can probably play the game as he competently flew through the canyon and had the x-wing in his cross-hairs for several consecutive seconds.

It's so infuriating to watch.

It's an EA/DICE game

SO like do console gamers never ADS? This seems like it's a movie simulator that will get boring after you play a map more than once and you've triggered all the events.

I have to agree, this is so scripted you could see the director in a couple of scenes, but apparently it's the EA norm no idea.

I swear I saw the boom mic in one scene.

On a not-so-serious note, where the hell are the lock-ons at? This surely can't be a DICE game.

That I have to disagree with it. The first three minutes that focused on the first AT-AT was just about a quarter of the map...

I just cannot take gameplay that's shown on controller seriously. It just looks and feels completely wrong since the movement is so fraking unnatural. Doesn't help it's obviously scripted so that all the events get to actually play out, but then it's not really a gameplay video and might as well just have been a cinematic trailer instead.

So much wrong.... but a lot right too.

I'll get this game but I don't have to enjoy it!





I think I'm spoiled after getting to play the First Strike mod for BF2142. In my eyes that will always be the ultimate Star Wars experience. Both in terms of atmosphere (never played a game that nailed it like FSMod did) and gameplay.
