Actually, Squad leaders could find use for this. It allows verbal comm and actual movement between allied units. NCO's and Privates could benefit from something a bit more streamlined of course.

I used to have some Numpad keys bound to switch channel to different army channels but it would change me to another channel at random when I wasn't pressing any keys at all so I had to unbind those ones.

Not exactly......that's the optional Goggles wiper, for those muddy missions where you just don't have time to set your keyboard down and pull that army issue wetnap.
