Necromancer, it is
very rare for games to be delayed once the launch date is announced, especially when marketing for the game has started up. Some developers delay their games because they aren't ready but this is always before a final date is nailed down and promotional material is released. The only case I could name that might be an exception was the Half Life 2 delay. To delay a game that is already had it's date announced, promotional materials released and advertising budgets set in place would be financial suicide.
It isn't going to happen no matter how many pre orders are not placed. Besides, I don't know why you would want this to happen unless the game is fundamentally broken which, by all accounts, isn't the case. Just what would you say warrants the game being delayed?
Digz, I don't know what you were trying to say. If you are suggesting that spending money on a game is a waste... on a forum about said game... perhaps your time would be better served on forums that aren't dedicated solely to the consumption of said game.
EDIT: This no longer seems to be about BF4 and instead about the philosophy of pre-ordering. I don't usually pre-order games but I'm not going to debate this since I consider it off topic on this thread. That said, to suggest that someone who pre-orders a game is supporting an inferior product than someone who buys the same game at launch is just.... insane.
